When I first heard about AC4, I thought it was going to be a regular Assassin's Creed game. I was wrong. I saw the first hour of the game to see the features, and my mind was blown.
Firstly, its not a regular Assassin's Creed game. Normally, you have a teenager who get's betrayed in some way. The teenager then seeks out revenge on the person responsible. This game is very different. In this game, Edward kills and Assassin, and learns that the Assassin was on his way to collect a reward from the governor. He takes the Assassins' robe, and then impersonates him so that he could become rich. He was never an Assassin, but a pirate!
Secondly, the plants are much better. In previous games, the plants would be still and look horrible. In this game, they look as if Ubisoft deleted all the plants, went outside, took some pictures, made the plants into 3D models, and inserted them in. The plants now look like something you could see when you take a walk to the park. The plants also react to the wind, swaying more wildly as the wind's severity increases. In previous games, you could see your Assassin clearly in the plants, and wonder if the soldiers wear blind not to see you. In this game, your Assassin is concealed enough that you actually get the feel that you are hiding.
Then, the water is completely redone. In other games, the water was not an important part, hence Ubisoft didn't need to concentrate on making it perfect. Now that the Assassin is a pirate, water is a huge part of development. The waves are more realistic, and move like a real ocean! The waves are also dangerous, get too close to a big one, and your ship might never sail again!
Finally, the way that Edward runs is beautiful. It now seem like it is not a robot running. The camera shakes when you climb hills or run up a rocky road. It is now more realistic.
Now with all these in mind, you might be expecting higher graphics, right? Well that is partially true. If you have an Xbox One or PS4, you will see a difference in the clarity. Not so much, however for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Overall, if you get the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, or PS3, this is a must-have game. |

| Oh ok. I thought you meant that my post wasn't about Assassin's Creed. He still is an Assassin though...Just a pirate-assassin. A Passassin? |

reading the first paragraph made me want to just not get the game that's a really idiotic thing to do ubisoft could've easily had a story where edward's son hated him and became a templar to oppose the assassins but no they make it crappy |

| Actually, after Edward collects the reward, the governor makes him a Templar, hence making it so that his son followed in his footsteps. |

Read it all. Very nice.
Oh, but the part about the plants... 3D models cannot be made off of pictures, unless a picture is pasted onto the model, but that doesn't make it look good. Really good plants take a lot of time, effort, and scripting.
Other than that, it is a nice game. The thing I am most curious about is how the Assassins come into play. I mean, it's a pirate that's dressed up like an Assassin. Where are the actual assassins? Do they appear later in the game?
On top of that, what ever happened to Desmond? Sure, he died saving the world, but remember, AC3 left at a huge cliffhanger - was freeing that goddess person the right or the wrong thing to do? There are many other questions too.
So many answers that NEED to be solved!

| @Halo, when I said that they turned the pictures into 3D models, I meant that the plants looked so realistic, that they could have been pictures! |

| In Assassin's Creed 2, Ezio is betrayed by Uberto, who kills his father and brothers. He then becomes an assassin to get his revenge. In Assassin's Creed 3, Conner is betrayed by Charles Lee, which is his sole reason to become an assassin. |
