TRIGGER- A roleplay along the lines of Riolu.
WITH HELP; gavinfirefox and podraptor
WELCOME TO THE FRONT LINES SOLDIER.
. . .
WELCOME TO WORLD WAR TWO.
. . .
"... welcome to hell."
[][][][][][][][]
Tonight stood many men who would die, and many who would fall on the plains, dripping their blood on their own ground. Many looked out of their trenches, and their tanks, and their lovely machines. They were all waiting for an order. And the order was holding. Tanks came closer and closer, rifles cracked and some fell. Planes did straffing runs over trenches, and gas rain from above. The Italian Infantry stood upon the crest, and shot to kill. Their accuracy, their guns. It wrecked havoc on the trench. "Calvary, now!" shouted an officer. They didn't have a chance. Horses fell, and the Yugoslavian officers curse. Infantry is in a full panic, and eventually, they ran across the plains. The Italian Infantry murdered any one standing still. Grimly remembering this night, many nations pondered what to do. Italy was strong, since a leader called Angelo stopped Mussolini, and turned poor Italy into a world power. Eventually, it was decided to do nothing. Angelo smiled apon his throne, and continued marching.
Italy was a very interesting nation at 1920. Part of it was complete industry, and the other part was farms. It provided a lot of help in World War One, and supplied the allies. Turning quickly from it's backwards ways, it sped way through several technologies it got from Britain. In an early pre-war in Yugoslavia, it murdered through several other countries. It grew like a rolling tide, and soon overwhelmed many nations. It was truly a frightenting sight, as hordes of Italians rushed the nations. Syria faltered and died. Italy grew to be a world power, almost over night. Oil and rubber were shipped in and out, and ores were shipped. Italy grew rich and powerful, and many nations were supported on it. Germany grew to be a powerhouse, if you could call it that. It executed The Second World War by attacking Poland in '36. Italy protected Poland, and razed through Germany, with support from many South American and African nations, and the allies coming through Denmark. Japan quickly fought through most of southern Asia. And then, Japan and Italy signed the Asian Pact, as an alliance. France fell and faltered quickly, along with most of the European nations. Quickly, it became hell over through a short period. Britain held on with it's fingertips, and Russia is getting destroyed by Japan and Italy. Most of Africa and South America are allied with the Axis. Germany rebels at this point, managed to escape to Britain, and got to America, and joined the military. They formed an important part, knowing the territory and language. They would play a big part in the time to come.
And then came the intolerable acts committed. The rest of anyone who was half decent, Australia, Canada, USA, Britain, Russia [debatable if it was decent], Ireland, and Brazil, began to fight back. In the first battles, South America quickly started to die between Brazil and the United States. Russia collapsed. Britain, Australia, and the United States began what we would call D-Day, and succeeded. Australia's northern half was destroyed by a fire and a ton of bombs between Italy and Japan. Eventually, Australia became a puppet state. Alaska was destroyed between several air raids. This is just some classic knowledge to bring you up to speed. Most of Asia is owned by Japan, and Africa, Europe, and a little bit of Asia is owned by Italy.
Some music plays in the background. Someone kicks in the stomach. Cliff. "Time to wake up. We've got new orders." Sighing, and picking up your weapon and M1911, you slide it into their respective slots. A few other members get up, and slide into their seats. "We've got orders to take a German outpost, a few miles away. It'll be us, and the Tigers squadron. And that's beautifully it. And yes, Matty, we all probably won't make it through the night." The relatively combat lacking group looks at Cliff with wide eyes. Tex just shrugs.
[Don't expect the characters below to last too long!]
AFTERMATH CREW
1st Lieutenant Roger Thorne A younger man, kid of a well known Politician, Roger was quickly sent straight for an Officer's Academy straight out of school, where he exceled at. Oddly witty, and generally kind, he often relies on his Sargents for assistance, as he is bright enough to realize he lacks the experience they have. Slightly snooty and occasionally overly bold, with a burning desire to prove himself to his father, Roger has seen multiple conflicts, and became the Platoons commanding officer merely 3 weeks ago.
AFTERMATH CREW -1st Squad 'Dukes',1st Platoon, Foxtrot Company
Sargent Major Andrew Cliff A hardened veteran from the old world war one days, he's very dry in his remarks. American since birth, he hasn't lived in a house for a long time. Definitely a good guy to have on your side, and often helps Thorne with certain things along strategy. Designated driver, as he doesn't drink. He's a shotgunner, and in his world war one experience, he did mostly urban attacks and raids. Black hair, and a thin, gaunty look.
Specialist Thompson 'Tex' Tactian Tex, hailing from Texas, is a loud and tough dude, and makes that apparant with his use of the trenchgun, along with a standard issue M1 Grand of course. Known for his large handlebar mustache, Thompson normally hangs with his friends, Oddball, Baker and Alfie, imformally known as 'the boys' among the units. Black hair and Brown eyes, with a heavier build.
Specialist Will Wardel Will hails from California, a bright young boy, who's fairly quiet. Fought in South America, and briefly in Australia, he's recieved a bit of combat experience. He's an avid reader, and fairly smart. He doesn't wear the classic military uniform, preferring to wear the Australian outfit, where he spent most of his life at. He looks forward to helping his homeland, Australia, and is an intense fighter. He has a M1 Garand, and a Thompson, with the Thompson slung at his belt. Fairly well liked by Cliff and Benson. Will is blond, and has a dark black streak in the left side of his hair. Brown eyes, and walks with the slightest limp.
Private First Class Bobby 'Oddball' LaRue Bobby, known as Oddball amongst friends for his quirks and personality, is a well liked squad member. Known as the unit's funny guy, he can get a little over the top. Uses a Thompson and Magnum. Brown hair, and green eyes, he has an athletic build.
Private Matthew Baker An avid smoker and gambler, Baker likes to hang with his friends, and is pretty easy going. An offical member of the boys, Matty is almost never seen without his good buddy Tex. He is distinct because of the fact he wears a helmet with a flag painted on it, as Matthew was an artist. He carries a M1 Carbine, and M1911, and has light brown hair, and grey eyes. He has an athletic build, like most soldiers.
Private Alfred 'Alfie' Stevens Alfie is by far the youngest member of the squad, at a young 16. He went in fired up and ready to kill some dirtbag Italians, but soon found out the war wasn't exactly like how the US made it sound. He got a bit of a baby-face, and big eyes, which are normally nervous. He fidgets quite often, especially with his dogtags and the safety of his M1 Carbine rifle. He has shaggy black hair and blue eyes, with a thinner and smaller build.
Private Freddy Maloney A new face among 1st Squad, he is their designated field medic. On the older side, he avoided getting drafted due to an off-beat heart, which was later found to be a simple irregularity and was drafted soon afterward. He is normally seen with Cliff, as they're the two oldest members on the squad. Blond hair, green eyes with pale skin and an average build. He uses the standard load-out.
AFTERMATH CREW -2nd Squad 'Sweepers', 1st Platoon, Foxtrot Company
First Sargant Wayne 'Cowboy' Benson Wayne is an important person to know. An ex-WW1 man, he's lived in several pieces of hell. Often known as the 'Fox' or 'Cowboy', he's fought several times pistol to pistol, and is often wily. Reknowned for several war changers, he's gone largely unnoticed by many. Somehow struggled his way to Corporal, he's stayed like that for about five to ten years, before hitting Sargant after the death of Nate Johnson, the squads previous leader. Pretty cool with Rookie.
Corporal Luke 'Rookie' LeVelve Luke is a quick footed man, who's got an incredible eye for sniping on him. Offically in the 2nd Squad, he is usually paired with one man, and provides sniper support. A loner out of battle, he usually sits and mopes around, who's wife was in France at the time Italy attacked. That's the real reason why he's in this war, to find his wife, if she's still alive. Very dark skinned, and has blonde hair [colored] and red eyes that he covers up with goggles or shades.
Corporal Abel 'Doc' Houstan Born and raised in a family of doctors, he aspired to be one. The war came along first, though. Signed up to be a doctor, he's treated many soldiers in his short time. Transferred about four weeks ago, he's been mostly stagnant. A terrible shot, but a fairly good doctor, he's someone that should be protected at all costs. Black hair, blue eyes, average build.
Private First Class Jack Sparrow A bird fanatic, ironicly, he was drafted, with a bunch of complaints. Fought briefly in the Italian-Yugoslavian war, with the Italians, he eventually managed to escape the oppression, until he came to America, and was drafted. A very unhappy man, and pretty annoyed when you talk to him, he's a vital person when it comes down to fighting. He can fight close range, long range, middle range, really anything. Average build. Sparrow has no real friends.
Private Scott King Scott is an Irish man, who is a very outspoken man who usually is fairly drunk. Fufilling his steryotype aside, he enjoys classical music, and plays the flute. Doesn't open up anything about his previous life, and is very sadistic. Athletic build.
Private Darrel 'Snowball' Gensen A tall, broad, african-american man known lovingly as Snowball by his companions. A well liked personality, but usually quiet. Darrel prefers to let his friend Doc speak for him. He has short black hair and chocolate colored skin, with darker brown eyes. He carries a Thompson.
AFTERMATH CREW -3rd Squad 'The Replacements', 1st Platoon, Foxtrot Company
Sergeant Billy Wright A depressed, alco.holic, Billy Wright has been the Sargent of 3rd squad for longer then most, and was said to have never touched a drop of liqu.or in his life before getting placed in 3rd Squad. A crack shot and skilled soldier, everyone knows he was put in the squad to attempt to balance things out. A short man, with a M1 Carbine and Revolver. Sandy brown hair and brown eyes, with a very athletic build.
Corporal Wilfred Halls A snobby sharpshooter from Long Island, New York, this son of a widowed millionaire opted for an office position behind the lines. He was wait listed long enough to be drafted for the infantry. An arrogant man, Will is tall, with short brown hair. He always seems to have a sour grimace on his face.
Private First Class Johnathon Tait A firey ginger, with massive bright red mutton chops, and nearly no hair on the top of his head, Tait is a real character to meet. Loud, scottish, and quite crazy, don't insult a kilt! But, that doesn't really matter, since he'll be dead and replaced within the week, like the rest of the Replacement squad. Red hair, blue eyes, athletic build.
Private Patrick "Ham" Wooley A hawk-eyed boy from Colorado, Patty is an underaged replacement. You wouldn't believe what a big mouth someone with a good eye has. He is average height, and likes to fumble his grenades from time to time. He gets his nickname because of the leg of ham somone can stuff into his mouth.
Private Dylan 'Sparks' Phillips Dylan. An awkward, out of place guy in the squad. He hasn't seen battle, but got injured in an explosion which took his left ear. He is lanky and always scowling and isn't liked within the squad. Not much else to say. M1 Grand, and bald with murky green eyes.
Private Randy 'Babyface' Jones A funny kid, around 25, but looks no more then 15. He is of South American decent, and is known for his little moustache because it's all he can grow. Randy is on the shorter side, with an average build. He carries the M1 Grand.
Private Yves Boucard A french recruit who fought against the Italians in the Invasion of France, Yves is a short, bow-legged man who has nothing else to lose but his life. Experienced, this French fighter has lost all hope in any sort of victory. He has graying black hair, a goatee, and the wrinkles in his eyes give off a mid-forties look.
Private Larry Gallagan Larry was a dumb punk who flunked out of highschool. Bad life at home, took to the streets. Was arrested for thievery, and was sent to fight out his sentence. Husky and weak build. Typical grunt load-out.
Specialist Michael Bolton An office worker in Seattle, the man was drafted into the army as a radioman. He is in his mid-thirties, of average height and sharp features.
AFTERMATH CREW- 4th Squad 'Aces', 1st Platoon, Foxtrot Company
Master Sergeant Marcus Luckie A fairly abnormal last name, he's a very friendly and outgoing man. Very good shot. Marcus started his career as a pilot in Australia, and was eventually grounded by the 25th Division. He fought through a ton of platoons of enemies, and eventually survived the tale. Grounded from now on, he got ranked up fast. Fought in France a lot, and almost lost his leg, he's finally back, and better than ever. Good pals with Winston.
Corporal Mick 'Mickie' Zanders An oddly plain man in appearance and personality, he makes up for this general plainness with supurb fighting skills and general skill in multiple areas. There honestly isn't much to say about him, besides he is a good mechanic, scout, rifleman, and even knows first aid. He's the youngest Corporal in the Platoon. Carries a Thompson and Carbine. He has a muscular build.
Specialist Winston Farmer Winston started his career by training with someone who's military name was Goliath. After fighting in Brazil through several intense fights, he's been transported into the squad because of his accuracy, and his remarkable skill in most weapons. He carries a Roma Infantry Rifle, and a Roma SMG, just because he can. Good friends with Luckie and Wolf.
Specialist Zang-Jing Wei An engineer from the Allies' fallen nation of the Republic of China (the KMT were kept in power in this scenario, and the Chinese Civil War never happened) Wei was an architect and a demolitions expert before taking refuge West after the Japanese invasion of China. Very skilled in explosives and engineering, the man fought bravely with the National Revolutionary Army to quell the Japanese wave of attack. Able to read, write, and speak English, the man joined up with the Americans to participate in the Allied Invasion of Normandy. Stern, average height and medium build.
Specialist Ryan 'Wolf' Wolffe Ryan is a fairly unimportant Texan, who's lived his life as a ranger, up until this point. He got drafted, fought in Australia, and is famous for his pack, which included Winston, and several other men who have died in the 4th Squad, and led a brave charge that saved the city of Sydney. He carries whatever he can get his hands on, which currently is a Thompson and a M1911. A piano player, and a gambler, he is usually a popular man in camp. Athletic, light build, and blackish hair. Tanned.
Private First Class Ike Marks Ike is a relatively silent kid, who is a Japanese, and Chinese. Came to fight before any suspicion was aroused anyway. He carries a Trenchy and a machete, and is a pretty good fighter when it comes down to it. Thin, and wears a bandana around his forehead.
Private Leo Rodgers An Italian, who learned the Japanese language, he is an important radio operator. A fairly normal soldier, he doesn't have much to be said about him. He is an average shot, but a fairly skilled with languages. Uses a Sten gun, and has hair.
ARMORY

Lee Enfield SMLE- Ten-shot, bolt-action line of British military rifles, they are used by any remaining British troops that made it to American soil. [i will accept two last applications until page 4.]
-ALL-
The ship docks, and you are hustled across the countryside in a jeep. As the man breaks near an outsidish camp, he begins to point and mutter incoherently. Eventually, two men come up.
-Joseph and Dallas- [dude why would you make it Dally. Dallas is cool.]
Andre walks up. "Nice new recruits that are gonna last a long time and become generals eventually. Joseph, Dallas, let's see ya. We've got your weapons in a crate back in base." With saying that, he sulks off, doing whatever he was doing before.
-Fredrick, Chink, and Igor-
"Rest of you greenies. I'll see to your quarters and that fun stuff. Weapons are in crates, and follow me." He points over to a reddish tent, and actually gives you a few instructions, unlike Andre. |

[probably won't get too in deep until gavin is online, which is usually 7ish central.]
-Chink-
You walk with him. A brownish crate labeled 'SOLDIER 15970634' is on the ground. "Your weapons, clothing, helmet, dog tags, and MREs." A crowbar is also laying on the ground, near to the crate, so you can open it. |
