| When young children play video or online games with guns in them, they begin to have more violent tendencies, and they will almost definitely become a violent teenager/adult or end up in jail. I was shocked the other day when I entered a "Modern Warfare" game and it featured firearms! There were characters being shot to death, blown to bits, and many other gruesome images. I strongly encourage Roblox administrators to remove all games which contain guns, for the sake of a society without crime. |

| Um, no. Guns kill people. The crime rate would go down about 98% if guns were abolished. But that's beside the point. I'm talking about guns in online games, which exposé young children to violence. If you play games with guns, you will most likely end up in jail. |

| No support. Reason:They shouldn't have blood in it, BUT! blocks exploding is just blocks exploding, I sorta like the games like "Prophunt" uses a fair FlameThrower to torch other players,BUT!It could inspire kids to be construction workers! |

| Not all people do that, I know kids can lie about their age, so maybe there would be a gun warning, saying "This may contain violent content, parental guidance is suggested". |

@Kiwi, I'd hate to live where you live. Guns with their own minds? They choose who to shoot, or not, without a person doing anything to do that action? Oh my.
Games do not necessarily make people have violent tendencies, it's more to do with the actual person and what they're like based on traits they've inherited from their parents. Games are simply games, and are always made the scapegoat for violent crimes.
----
Just because a game may have an RPG in it, doesn't mean I want one nor do I wish to use one in real life.
Just because a game gives you the role of a bank robber, doesn't mean you're going to go grow up to become a bank robber.
Just because a game gives you a gun, doesn't mean you're going to feel the urge to go out into the street and re-enact it unless you have a psychological issue worthy of an institution. |

| Removing guns from all Roblox game's would be like Removing hats from roblox. Everyone would be mad and would cause a lot of people to either quit or barley play. |

@quorom yes they do. Scientific research proves that children exposed to violence at a young age, even video games make them grow up to be violent. I bet you played a lot of gory games with guns as a kid. Have fun in jail
@slush so what's more important, a few players quitting or reducing the national crime rate? |

I don't see how playing violent video games means that you will end up in jail. Of course it can give you violent thoughts,(You can have "violent thoughts without video games") but if you have self control you won't commit violent actions, and just becuase you play games with guns or other weapons does NOT mean you will be violent in the future.

@Kiwi, 1) Yes, I do play games which have violent traits to them, but that does not mean I will be going to jail at any point in my life. I'm doing fine academically, and have no reason to turn to a life of crime, at all. Stop broadly generalising everyone.
I play these games in order to relieve stress, and in no way do the make me have any thoughts which would bring harm on anyone.
2) Balderdash. Games do not make a person grow up to be a violent, they're simply games. You will always have people blaming games, simply because it's the one thing nearly everyone players at some point in their life, and lets face it, this violent nature obviously couldn't be an underlying psychological issue, right?

@homegamestudios
Video games or online games with guns can prove very addicting, and it takes more and more self control to stay away from them. Thus, these types of violent games lessen self control and these damaged individuals take their violence out on others.
@quorom
Just because you're doing fine academically doesn't mean you're doing fine mentally. You say you are under stress? That's from trying to constantly suppress your violent urges induced by games and your only feeding your addiction by playing more. Sooner or later you will snap. |

| You have got to be kidding me. Just because a child plays a game with guns, does not mean that they will grow up to a serial killer/murderer. It's up to the creator of the game whether or not to add guns. You m'am, have no logic whatsoever, and you are certainly NOT going to jail because of a game. These characters being "blown to bits" are not displaying real people, they are displaying blocks. There will still be games with guns, so, *grabs sunglasses and puts on* Deal with it. |

"When young children play video or online games with guns in them, they begin to have more violent tendencies, and they will almost definitely become a violent teenager/adult or end up in jail."
I was raised(The first movie I watched is an old film called Silver Bullet) on horror movies that involved things ranging from amputations without painkillers, to taking a bottlerocket in the eye, paired with the Doom series. I turn 18 this coming May.
Contrary to what you suggest will happen, I am not violent. Heck, quite the opposite. I sit at home all day with the exception of school.
(For those of you about to scream out "GET A PART TIME JOB, YOU LAZY BUM," I work as a bus monitor, primarily due to my youngest brother being a pre-schooler. Aside from that, there is currently no work I am interested in that will hire me while I am still under 18. I have very little intention of going into fastfood and catching infections left and right like a certain cousin of mine who worked in it. Dunno how those places pass the health inspection checks.)
Regarding your crime rate statistic, that's a load of utter crap. If firearms were removed, we would all go back to the days of stoning women for being involuntarily fornicated. (Which does happen in some firearm-lacking places today!)
Your argument is like the argument about music lyrics causing people to go on killing sprees. The people instigated by a song to go into a spree had their own mental problems beforehand, and it will be the same situation here. If someone sees a gun in a game, and that causes them to go on a spree, then they were bound to go on one at some point anyhow.
Also, this thread smells of troll. Just sayin'.

If guns were the only thing allowing us to kill, well, sorry, I can't even think of anything past that. People will kill regardless of whether they can legally use guns. And anyway, they're killing somebody. They're going to jail, so even if guns were illegal, they'd use them anyway/ |

@sweetie
They're not "blocks". Some of them have bodies, they all have faces, shirts, clothing, HAIR, and all the distinctive features of a human being. Yes, it is gruesome to see someone blown to bits.
