Yes, the slightly more useless post of Second in Command.
Your responsibilities and obligations are about 1/3 that of the leader's.
You want all the power in the group without actually trying to run it. |

| In EL, I was 3iC and I did twice as much work than the 1iC and 2iC combined. |

In RSF, as SiC, I did...well, you all probably know the story.
Still, being leader is fun too, if you got good HRs to distribute the work to. |

I usually allow the clan or a certain fraction of the clan to vote for the SiC.
I never do favoritism because yeah, a friend as SiC may be good as controlling the group, but you don't have the total effect of an "opposition" leader.

An 2iC in opposition to you only means less gets done.
You shouldn't need it as you should always consider what your members want, and you should be good at listening to them. |

| That's why it helps to have been a HR before a leader. You got a personal "team" of HRs to use when needed. |

| But a leader should also make his or hers own critical decisions. Also, ok PresidentPig I got you. |

I became 2iC the old fashioned way.
Joined the clan, rose up the ranks, became General, then 4iC, 3iC and then 2iC. Then sadly retired.
All that in four years. |

@Kom
Actually know, having a bit of opposition in the HR's tends to be a good thing if its intentional.
You can have a lot more support and less doubt knowing you actually do productive stuff for the clan despite your leans toward a faction. |

| But, I hate when you worked so hard to get something and your leader just demotes you for no reason and auto promotes this random person. |

I am too weak in morale to be leader, truely, but I am too strong to be just an HR. So, 2iC is a good mix of both, and works for me, at least. |
