1. you can run an ethernet cable all the way downstairs. 2. you can connect the modem to a wireless router and use Wi-Fi. 3. if there isn't enough range, you could extend it with another router upstairs. |

| Just get a wifi receiver to plug into one of your computers usb ports. It is not as fast as having a wired connection, but it does the job. |
