This has NEVER happened before, and I have PLENTY of room on my computer for roblox. Basically any server I join, I will be playing fine with no lag, then all of a sudden my screen and mouse will freeze. I can still hear sounds, footsteps, people jumping, etc. but I cannot see them. The process in task manager will all of a sudden jump from 05-15 CPU, to 50-80 CPU.
Nothing else does this, I CANNOT figure out why it does this. I have NO lag whatsoever in joining games. The only type of lag I get is from the internet, so sometimes slow loading/guis and stuff taking a while, etc. Then all of a sudden the process freezes and I have to manually delete it with task manager.
Does anyone have a clue why this happens?
I've uninstalled and reinstalled roblox, and it actually helped. I was able to play the halloween game for a whole hour on one server. (It usually freezes within 20 minutes) Though the next time I joined a game it was freezing again.
PLEASE help me below if you can. I can't enjoy the halloween game, or any game for that matter, without shutting down after a few minutes. Most of the time data persistence doesn't even save. |

2.33 GHz, it sucks horribly lately. 3.25 GB RAM available. Windows 7 Ultimate - PC
This is a older PC, but has run fine up until now. My old one broke, lol, this was actually meant to be an office PC. But obviously roblox works fine on it, because up until now I've only had roblox bugs and stuff, but never anything that just started lagging like this.

But this isn't an internet issue, because I connect fine. It's really strange.

Even slightly flaky internet can cause lag.

But it's not lag at ALL. There's BARELY any sticking up between players, everything loads fine. I can walk around freely, with no lag. Then all of a sudden a MAJOR MAJOR lag spike happens and it makes me manually kill the process. -_-

It's SO annoying. I'm not spending any robux on the crappy halloween game, but I do sometimes want to complete quests. So I have to walk everywhere. As you might know, it will take at least 5 minutes of walking to get to someone. I LITERALLY walk within a few blocks of the destination and I D(is)C(onnect). DCing is so weird. Like it doesn't say "You have lost the connection to the game" It just shuts off and freezes. So it's not really lag.

Larney - I'm not sure if I would be completely convinced you're not experiencing connection lag. Please make sure you have any other programs closed while playing ROBLOX to help minimize any issues there, especially with an older computer. You can also try using a wired connection if you're not already, instead of a wireless. Make sure you're keeping up with maintenance on your computer, anti-virus/malware scans, etc, to ensure it's performing well.

It's performing very well. It's not a connection issue. Everyone moves just fine. In fact the weirdest part of it is, IT ONLY SHUTS DOWN IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE MAP. Like to the STUD. For instance I tried walking to ReeseMcblox, and when I got to a corner where I turned, I DCed, I've tried FOUR times now, and I DC at that same corner every single time. It's really, really weird. But it's not only the Halloween game, it's just about any game I play.

Can you check to make sure your video card drivers are up to date and also try lowering your graphics quality?

I just updated my video card quality, and I went in-game. I stuck my quality in-game at 0, that didn't help.

I meant my video card driver, lol. Not quality. Like I said, I already did that.

Larney - Unfortunately issues like these are often system specific, especially if the system is a little older. Without being able to replicate it on our end (this doesn't happen to me in the game or anyone I've checked with so far), it's really difficult for us to try to troubleshoot. But here's giving your thread a bump! Maybe someone else has this same issue with a similar system and can recommend a solution. :)

Mine started doing this on a pay to play server. I don't know if it's specific to that server but yeah. I hear sounds and everything in the back. Roblox worked just fine on this computer before. It always "crashes" after about five minutes too. And it's not the computer. I can still close the Roblox window with the "X" in the corner. Just the Roblox part freezes.
