Generally doesn't mix very well. Like the SWD at Indigo...you can't get within a few studs before you're killed. |

"Swords or guns?" --Swords lag less, don't need someone to code or build them. Roblox combat is very simplistic, there is virtually no skills, its all about various factors which the player either isn't aware of or has virtually no control over, such as lag (type of PC you have, matching one players PC in combat against another's that may or may not be faster, can't control or predict this), if the player gets killed by a lag healer (someone who lags so bad they just don't die), ect.
Assuming you've got an even 10 v 10 clan match, its like playing chess. The pawns/average players move forward, they are either removed/killed right away or they are not. Difference is is that these pawns, which are actually players spawn again. Its really a dice roll (all the variables that contribute to one's survival in the raid or death) as to who lives and doesn't. For instance lets set team 1 (10 players) attacks team 2 (also 10 players), dying is a 50-50 probability, that means only 1 person can live, and the other dies. 10 players from both team 1 or team 2 will live, and the other 10 will die. I think we all know that the chances that either team 1 or 2 completely kill the other team without taking a single casualty is pretty far fetched. This being said, each side will, expect casualties. Those casualties will differ every time. If one side takes 5 casualties, and the other takes3, the one that took 3, now has 7 men versus the other team's 5 left. Odds will tell you that in a dice roll, 5vs 7, 7 is better odds. Because the team with 7 has better odds, they will more than likely kill all 5 and proceed to the flag. That team may end up having 2 guys left to get the flag or 1, it doesn't matter.
Because this is roblox we must take into account that all players respawn, and this completely resets the odds. The 10 players you just killed have now respawned vursus your 1-2 guys at the flag. Now who has the better odds? It is now 10vs2, they will more than likely take back the flag from you.
then your men respawn and take it back from them, and it goes on and on over and over again until someone gets mad and calls it quits, or claims a win.
Bottomline when combat on thus game is nothing but a dice roll, the only thing that matters is how fast of an interval these dice are cast. What speeds or slows this down? The method of killing. Swords, less lag, kill faster. Down to the point. Guns, higher probability of lag, takes longer to kill. Your men may go afk due to an overly prolonged battle leaving you at a numerical disadvantage.
Real question you must ask yourself: -Swords so the outcome of the raid is determined faster, perhaps less lag? -Guns because you personally enjoy them, no real rational for them, increased chance of lag. |

Nice example. Also answers why OSE only used swords. I was asking for the preference of others, because I want to make a game people enjoy. I myself prefer swords over guns because of some factors you stated. Right to the POINT. Less lag. |

Guns are way more fun and it's proved that it's more of a test of skill rather then timing/luck. I personally just think it's stupid that you don't even have to be facing me to kill me with a sword. @person who said CoR guns are good, they take a lot less skill then RCL. You could literally camp in a hidden spot and get like 20 kills without anyone finding you, it's sad.
