Serious problem:
So as I've told many of you, my friend died about a month ago and i was going to play a memorial song for him, "wake me up when september ends" because he died in September. I was going to play it at my school dance tomorrow because my band was already scheduled to play.
Now, I am a bassist. But we were planning on playing an acoustic version of this song, so I was going to sing it since he was my friend and didn't know the other people in my band. I'm very uncomfortable singing in front of people, but I was going to do it for my friend.
But today my throat is all swollen. Like, painfully swollen, idk what's wrong with it.
So...I might not be able to sing tmrw.
And I will feel so. Bad. For not commemorating my friend.
Help..... |

Oh, it's okay Stell.
Drink plenty of water, or find a friend to sing while you play bass!
Just don't be upset =) |

| I have less than 24 hours. I could get the REAL singer of my band to do it, but he didn't even know the kid and I would feel bad if I didn't do it. Then again, I get soooo nervous singing in front of people, having my throat to worry about might make me pass out. |

Stella you're adorable.
Like, little sister adorable.
Anyway... When you're singing, just think of your friend, tune everyone out, be alone on that stage, and just know that he appreciates what you're doing, and can rest in peace. |

have someone else do it. it's not like you're disrespecting him in any way. |

Do it anyways, I sang when I was 6 in front of people. Just take it into a different dynamic of softer controlled vocals that can make people cry!

You'll do great, just focus on helping your throat first.

| Relax, drink water and eat something syrupy or honey like, forget about everyone else, just think of the songs feeling, and think of times you felt like that. |

Remember Stella; you're gonna be alone on that stage.
Just you, and him. Nobody else. |

actually that would be worse, acting like he is still there would be upsetting cause you still come to the realization that hes not.

Gargle with salt water or hydrogen peroxide. Do think about every hour or so.
And eat lots of cough drops to numb the pain. :) |
