After a while of playing some great games of Darkness, I have decided to write what I feel the game is like in my OPINION.
The games objective is pretty straight forward and right to the point, Survivors must kill the beast while running around in a tight map with plenty of broken doors and a ton of bland walls. The beast on the other hand, must kill the players. There are 2 ways I have analyzed that the beast can take as a approach, Approach one is a Leroy Jenkins All Guns way where the beast barges into a large group of people just praying they will hit anyone that comes int here way. The second approach is a rather sneaky and stealthy way where the beast can devise who and where to strike and what parts of the map he can use for a flanking position.
Same can be said for the survivors, But it's different. Either the survivors can take a scooby doo style approach and walk and the map on there own and "try" to kill the beast without and help. While the other strategy would be teamwork which works pretty much like left 4 dead.
Like I said earlier in the review the maps are pretty dull and dead looking. Every corner I turn it always grey, grey and did i mention... More grey! These maps are so lifeless they could make a out of date warehouse look trendy.
The second issue I would like to touch upon is that there is a poor selection of maps, You can literally here that Alarm for about 50% of the games and the low pitch Microsoft SAM the other 50%. It's like your casual radio station, It has 100+ songs and they play 2 songs 24/7. Dear creator if you are coincidentally looking at this please take these locations into consideration for a new update:
. Asylum . Prison . Mansion . Pentagon . Underground Base
Another nitpick about the maps is that they are too small for you to walk around. 1 minute you could be at one end and then 30 seconds later your at the other. Who built these places, Midgets?. Coming onto this topic the small spaces have been causing some cracks between objects which gives the survivors an unfair advantage for the beast. Same with objects which are ridiculously large that they are yet used by the survivors to get more unfair advantages. I recommend that you fix this by removing these spots.
1 final thing I must mention about maps is that 1 map with the Microsoft SAM voice. The beast is basically screwed on that one since all the players gang up outside the beast spawn like the release of GTA V. I would fix this by adding additional doors the beast could come from.
Now that I have covered the maps next would be weapons. The pistols and guns are fine but the problem in this area is that beasts axe. It's hit detection is more worse than Sonic 06 and Superman 64 combined. Every time i go to hit someone with the axe there's a 60% chance that I will miss him because of the axe's terrible detection. Yet again I would soon be able to get him finally after the umpteenth throw to the head.
That's all for the bad stuff, The good stuff i can add is that it's a very addicting game and a very fun one also. It's a good recommendation to anyone who loves horror games and a perfect example of one too. The addition of powers the beast has is excellent and I would love to see you expand upon that area of the future, especially the game play by introducing a mode where half the team are survivors and half of them are beasts.

I have a question.
Why did you waste 2 hours writing about a virtual game? |
