so, my parents have set an internet timeout on the router for 10:00 i would change it, but it would also seem that they changed the router PW this is a problem now the thing is, parents are leaving to go to soccer right now assuming my step dad's computer isn't PW locked, i should be able to get into the router, assuming he's the sort of person who keeps all of his PWs in a .txt HOWEVER, i don't exactly think my step dad is that stupid, so i need some way to get him to reveal the PW i was thinking a packet sniffer, however i don't exactly know how to use those and i get the feeling there's just a bit of a learning curve so my goal is to get into the router, change the router PW, and remove the 10:00 internet timeout
wish me luck! :v) if all goes well you'll see me right around 10:01 ;v)
this will be my ultimate act of rebellion, should scream "protip i'm not exactly the helpless kid you think i am" |

swift, not often they only did this because i was still up at 1:00 last night but as you can see i'm bright and ready to go, even after 11 hours of the day however, before my step dad left with my brother to soccer, he said "at 10:00 the internet will shut off, but if you want to move that time back a bit we can talk about it" so if i get a packet sniffer before then and have it running while he's logging into the router, i should be just fine |

also, suspicions about step dad's comp being PW locked confirmed suspicions about router PW being network PW like it was before we got a new router debunked (same thing with default router PW, old router PW, etc.) |

| what do you mean fingerprints i get the feeling you don't mean literal, physical fingerprints because he uses his keyboard daily and thus every last key would be covered in fingerprints |

james, i would have to reconnect everyone and set everything back up just like it used to be so that nobody found out, unless it doesn't change the network info (which from my understanding it does but then again i know next to nothing about routers) |
