To miss war shows that you know nothing of war. To desire life 90 years ago simply because of the methodology of warfare shows just how little thought was put into the desire to live life 90 years ago.
Unless you prefer to forgo the medical/technological advancements of the past 90 years? |

You're joking...right?
Did you just say it was easy to invade land mass? Are you forgetting Gallipoli (1917) and Normandy (1944)?
For those deficient in mathematics, 2013-90=1923. WWII was fought 1939-1945.
With regards to the personalities, look throughout history. Every age has personalities and struggles. |

It's not that easy. Months of disease and dysintary and gun fire and shell shock.
Plus D-Day was a prime example of blood and gore |

| @false. With your mathematics by the time it is WW2 he would be of age to fight. |

He'd be 16 years of age in 1939, yes. Have a look at his OP, though.
"when wars had adrenaline and were in cities with simple shootouts
now it's all nuke, boring, no honour or glory or any adrenaline bomb runs
bad"
After saying he wishes he had born 90 years ago, he says wars then "had adrenaline and were in cities with simple shootouts". Is he referring to wars 90 years ago (as the title suggests) or does he intend to wait for **74** years in the past (by which he'd have to indicate his interest in warfare during WWII, not 90 years ago).
My point still stands, though. Wishing to be born in the past simply for the method of warfare shows ignorance of/disregard for the technological innovations of the time since then. |

| My father served in the British army in the cold war, and was the only British-Indian Officer in the British army stationed on the western side of the Berlin wall. |

yeah your point does stand
it's not as if this thread was to a highly realistic standard
I'm pretty sure I indicated that 16 would be the age to fight by stating "WW2" |
