"Look at your local mcdonalds."
Sorry but being a college graduate would you really want to work there? |

you know nothing about the economy
do you think millions of people in 2007 suddenly decided their medim income job with benefits was bad compared to living on scraps on welfare? |

| If you are able to work, you should. Leeching off of other people instead of working only hurts the economy. Unemployment is rising. Many people are too lazy to work as well. |

Typical hypocrite. Look at all of the college graduates with associates and bachelors degrees. I'm pretty sure most if not ALL college graduates want to get a job, but they can't. The economy is in somewhat of a recession, which means jobs for them aren't available.
What about you? What's your job? |

| So you say that able bodied people who can work shouldn't have to? I am not talking about if you are trying to find work. I am talking about lazy people who would stay at home and not work no matter what job is presented to them. Not people who want to work. |

I said over 18
College graduates? Take a loan
Do you understand my point? I am saying that if you do not want to work, you are not in school, that is entitlement mentality. Thinking that the government should provide 100% of your income. |

Well you know what? That's their choice. I'm pretty sure that if you, say, turn on the news for a bit, you'll see just how hard it is for these "lazy" people to get jobs. Like someone said before; you have no idea how the economy works.
Also, guess what? If there is a free job opening at a local McDonald's, how many people do you think want that ONE job? Because it's certainly not just one person going to that interview.
And to be honest, I've never heard of a person who doesn't want to work at all and is over the age of 18. You need money to get anywhere in this country, as well as every country for that matter. I'd say get your facts and opinions straightened out before making a thread like this. |

| Do you understand at all? I am not referring to everyone. I see people who will sit on their buts and not even look for work. Excuse me? Go to mcdonalds or Wendy's. Ask them if they have jobs open. You can easily get work. |

So by your logic, every restaurant has empty job openings?
If that were the case, most restaurants wouldn't even be able to operate.

I agree with cool Look, it isn't easy for employers and employees out there. Its like the Roman Empire: glorified and beautiful and heaven but there's that time something happens something just happens, and the things you can handle without too much work is harder economic problems you know |

| I do not say EVERY one has an opening. But there are jobs out there. Many will look for a job. I am referring to the ones who don't. You really think America is that well off that everyone is looking for a job? The economy wouldn't have slumped if that was true. |

But how do you know they don't want to work?
What if they want too, but they can't? What if they have a mental disorder, or if they're on disability? What if it's not their fault they can't find a job?
I don't know about you, but if I went around after 20 or 30 tries at getting a job, I'd get a little discouraged. |

it is their lives they do what they want
it would be nice if everyone over 18 up until retirement either had schooling, a job, or a valid househouse / caretaker position, but we just cannot do that by force. |
