Monday's Topic: NR Minnesota 4-2 (0-2 B1G Play)
Previous Game: L 42-13 @ #19 Michigan (next weeks prayer schedule)
Next Game: @ NR Northwestern 4-2 (0-2 B1G Play)
Minnesota will come into this game on Saturday as a team trying to grasp their beginning of the season sprint of wins. Suddenly they lost to Iowa in their B1G opener, and continued to lose vs Michigan.
The difference?
Northwestern is coming off a pound at Wisconsin; a game many (esp. some sfers) thought NW would pull out a win.
Both of them lost.... Nothing different? (Wrong)
Minnesota is coming off of a bye week as Northwestern has now played to strong teams straight and face a rested team. Seems like last week doesn't it? The only similarity of the two is that they both seek their first B1G win.
The favorite in this match would have to be Northwestern, but as I heard, they may have lost 1/2 of their QB's in a system where they use both. Minnesota has had time to repair any injurys over the last two weeks and allow rookies to play, which does help.
In my opinion Minnesota won't need a full prayer to win. They need consistence throughout the match, and strong play to beat a Northwestern team looking to go back into the mix.
Tiny's winner: Northwestern by a TD or more. |

Tuesday's Topic: NR Texas 4-2 (3-0 B12)
Last game: W36-20 vs #12 Oklahoma 5-1 (2-1)
Next game: @ NR TCU 3-3 (1-2)
Texas comes off a HUGE win vs Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. This was the win the program needed to get onto the right track again, as very little outside the longhorns fanbase thought they would win.
What does this also do? Saves Mack Brown's career as the Texas headcoach. Mixed emotions for the fanbase, but hey, if he wins, who cares -- I certainly wouldn't!
Now the next question is whether or not they can best the slumping TCU. TCU came into the season ranked, but certainly didn't show it this season coming in with 3 losses already. Arguably they need this win more than Texas does to regain confidence; Texas needs it to keep the surge of strength.
In my opinion Texas does have what it takes to beat TCU. What they need to pray for is to break out of inconsistency and for TCU not to be famished and wanting to best their fellow Texas team.
My prediction: Texas by 2 TDs or less |

Wednesday's Topic: #25 Wisconsin 4-2 (2-1 B1G)
Previous game: W35-6 vs #19 Northwestern 4-2 (0-2 B1G)
Wisconsin proved to the last nation that just because they had two losses (one was a fluke and refs issued an apology), doesn't mean they've lost hope or aren't as good as expected.
Most of the nation predicted the Ohio State win, but others, like myself, saw otherwise. Wisconsin ended up losing by only 7 to #4 in the nation which was pretty good. The point after that game was... How would they respond?
Wisconsin had a bye week and rallied to crush Northwestern by not allowing them a TD. This shows the Badgers still have fight and skill as well to get the job done. Wisconsin has a not-so-good Illinois opposition to face this Saturday.
Wisconsin won't need to recite half a Bible for the Illinois game. A soft prayer in their ability to preform is all they'll need for Illinois; but also to make sure they don't become big headed as Illinois does have upset potential.
Tiny's prediction: 2TDS or more for Wisconsin. |

Thursday's Topic: NR Tennessee 3-3 (0-2 SEC)
Previous game: L34-31 (OT) #6 Georgia 4-2 (3-1 SEC)
Next game: vs #11 South Carolina 5-1 (3-1 SEC)
Tennessee comes into the game with a heartbraking loss to a nationally ranked Georgia team. They took them to overtime, but couldn't hold on. This shows that they do have some potential, despite the 59-14 loss to Oregon and can produce vs lower tier teams.
The question remains for Tennessee fans, and the nation, is South Carolina a top team? Do they have what it takes to take out Tennessee, blow out or not? They certainly do have the chance.
Tennessee certainly does have the chance too. Tennessee will have to recite their prayers daily leading up to the game and hope for that one slip up which is that South Carolina under estimates them. Georgia did it, and it almost cost them. South Carolina can't afford this loss either.
Tiny's prediction: South Carolina by 10 or more points. |
