I think he took one look at Jar Jar and drew that conclusion. Phantom Menace was pretty kiddish after all. |

| Are you serious? He needs to look at the whole series...I don't really think George Lucas had kids in mind when Boba Fett (Or Jango,I can't remember which) got swallowed by the Sarlaac. |

| I don't think The Phantom Menace was 'kiddish' (or any movie in the series for that matter.) it was easily the most political movie in the franchise and introduced a lot of the war themes that became commonplace later on in the franchise. |

Aye. Drop the scenes with JarJar and young Anikian and it's probably the most adult film in the entire series.

Somebody hasn't seen the Ben V Darth Vader fight of the first (Or fourth, whatever) film. That pushed the envelope of film action scenes I'm telling you. |

| It's all about the hunt scene in the first act of Planet of the Apes. |

@BEN
Are you implying that somebody you are related to, that is most likely older than 70 years of age, thinks Star Wars (action Sci-Fi film) is a KIDDIE movie? |

| I don't think he implied, he very clearly stated it. |

romance scenes, violent battles followed by visual deaths, basically everything you might find in a kiddie movie
I think my point was proven enough already |

the prequels tried to be mature and intelligent and failed miserably
star wars is best as a fun swashbuckly movie, leave actual philosophical pondering and deeper meaning to star trek |

@Mario
*FACEPALM*
Okay, in all this I'm just trying to make a big joke.
This is how it goes- if an aged and wizened person has lived up to date and seen just about everything, then if they think that Star Wars is a kiddie movie, are they really who they say they are? (Hope you understand, it's complicated) |
