As many of you know, inflation has become a very large issue in the Roblox economy. The Robuck is slowly, but steadily losing value. I will present my opinions as to why this is happening, and what I believe should be done to fix the issues causing inflation. Please be open minded, and think more about the big picture than about individual wealth. --- Issue 1: Robux are being bought constantly.
As more and more members join Roblox, more Robux will be bought. If you have knowledge in very basic economics, you would know that pumping more currency into an economy causes inflation.
Solution: Raise the price of Robux.
Raising the price of Robux will most likely decrease the amount of Robux sales, therefore decreasing the flow of money being pumped into the economy. Members will be more encouraged to earn their Robux rather than buy it. --- Issue 2: Tix are nearly useless.
Items are very rarely sold in tix, rendering them nearly useless.
Solution: Items should be sold at a 50/50 ratio: half Robux, half tix. This will obviously make tix a more valuable and important aspect of the Roblox economy. --- Issue 3: Robux aren't being released out of the economy quickly enough.
Money needs to be released out of the Roblox economy for the inflation to reduce. Unfortunately, this has not been happening at a rate that is quick enough to outdo the Robux being bought.
Solution: Sell items for higher prices. This way, Robux will be released out of the economy much quicker. Of course as Robux purchases become higher or lower, this will have to change accordingly. --- I hope you found my ideas valid and possible. Please tell me if you have any other ideas, support my ideas, or are against what I wrote. Please do provide actual reasoning to why you would be against what I wrote however, as I put thought and effort into writing this thread, and I would expect the same out of a critical response. |

| Yeah robux is worth loads, I traded at a 1:20 rate. Tickets has lost it's value; it's like 6 tix for 1 robux. |

"Are you daft?"
No need to insult.
"Robux is worth a LOT now

Gifts aren't year round, and DevEx is only accessible for users who are exceedingly wealthy. Yes, it removes money from the economy, but I don't believe it does much in a relative sense to compensate for the money coming in.

Wow, really?
Robux is worth alot now, increasing its value will just cause more people to complain.
Take price floors as an example, ROBLOX raised the clothing from 1 robux/ 10 tix to 10 robux / 100 tix.
If you were on the forums then, you would've seen alot of posts complaining about it.
Also, It's not really hard to start getting enough money for DevEx. Anyone can build a good game and earn some good profit from it, you just have to work hard enough to make a good one. |

NEVER raise the price on ROBUX. NEVER!! Remember how people used to make fun of ROBLOX for saying "It's free!" everywhere? We don't want more of that.

@Ghost: If you say anyone can make a good game, and earn profit from it one more time, STAY OUT OF SOCIETY! You obviously have no idea how it works. People can't just MAKE a game popular with ads. The Illumina- I mean ROBLOX staff have to approve of the game WHICH NEVER HAPPENS!
I mean, just look at all of the smaller games that lag like crazy. Wanna know why they lag? Cause no one plays them, so ROBLOX gives them horrible servers. Wanna know why no one plays them? CAUSE THEY LAG!

@agodly
The fruit are you talking about?
You can learn how to script in a few weeks, ads don't really matter if your game is good. Remember Nikilis' first release of MM? I never saw him advertising it anywhere the first day, the next day he had about 3k people playing it.
You must be the player that gives up on everything, right? Because it looks like you try to make other players give up on making games because you can't make a good one yourself. |

| What you see from the above, fellow ROBLOXians, are a certain species of ROBLOXians trying to make a valid argument about the economics of virtual money. |

@Ghost: He was famous to begin with. Of course there would be 50 million different people stalking his account for the latest status 24/7. Now what is a new comer wants to make a good game, and does. Will people play it?

@godly 20% of the people on the top rated games page never advertised their game, they have about 50k+ visits now. Remember that, will ya? |

Were they famous to begin with?
The ads barely have anything to do with the argument. What I'm saying is people can't just make a game famous. Even with ads.
The whole ads thing I put is there because some people think all it takes to get to the front page is a ton a tix spent on ads.
What I am trying to say is people can't just become famous. Others are too stubborn to listen to anyone who isn't famous already.
The ROBLOX community is too stubborn to play any game that isn't on the front page. Therefore other games can't just GET to the front page. Doesn't matter how good the game is. All that matters is how famous you already are.

| Do you even know what inflation is? Inflation is when you have too much of something. The only person close to that would be loleris. If anything, the price floor stops inflation. The only thing the price floor does is lower the value of tickets and robux. Before the price floor, 10 tickets equaled 1 robuck. Instead, it's around 100 tickets to equal one robuck. They multiplied the value by 10. ROBLOX was pissed due to the low BC sales, so they invented this pseudo-ideal that it's all for the clothing makers. Which in turn, is false. Before the price floor clothing makers got 90% equity on all sales. If your shirt was 10 tickets, you got 9. Now the tables are turned. ROBLOX gets 90% equity on all sales. So if your shirt is 100 tickets, you get 10. See how that works? Clothing makers only get a 1 ticket difference that doesn't even matter! They might as well switch it back to normal and they'd make just about the same. ROBLOX fixed something that wasn't broken. The economy was stable, but now it isn't. They basically made everyone who isn't TBC poor. |

..Well, you must be the one that misses out on things.
Goradiel RPG, Wasn't advertised. Made it to the frontpage for a few days.
Innovation Experiment Testing Facility or whatever it's called, was never advertised. Made it near the frontpage for a day.
Minigame Madness, had a chance of being advertised. But I never saw any ads of it.¨
Here are just 3 examples that made it to the frontpage without ads, or even any tix. All they had to do is work, and a little bit of luck. |

| Correction on my post. It isn't 100 tickets that makes 1 robuck, it is actually 16. For the sake of the argument, we'll round it to 20. In this case, 1 robuck is worth 2 shirts in the past. That is still a lot. Either way, I hope you grasp my point. |

@Ghost: You missed the question. Here let me type it again in all caps so it's easier to read. You might want to zoom in too.

@Ghost: Again, society is too stubborn to believe there are games not on the front page. They were probably famous from games they did advertise before making those games.

If you just do more research, you realize that some famous games right now that are close to the front page and are on top rated are the first games the creators ever created. |
