Selling Places--- Basically this will be shorter than last one. The owner of the place has an option to sell the place they want. If someone buys it it automatically become uncopylocked.

Not to mention, ROBLOX tries to promote creativity.
Wouldn't this go against that? |

@chaos
How does it not promote creativity? Incentive (in this case R$ or tickets) is a great reason to work on things and create.
Plus, if we were going for creativity based on that then we would need to get rid of selling virtual clothing, free models, and places that are open to be copied for free. |

| Yes but roblox doesn't want people to quit right? That means less money. If more people are getting scammed. More people quitting. Less money. Because there will be against the rule place selling. Which leads to scam. |

No.
You sell virtual clothing for the sake of getting profit. Free models are for dissecting to find out more about building and scripting. Uncopylocked places are for dissecting too.
Selling places though just goes against that thought of creativity, and makes it more of a competition on who can make a better place and profit off of it more.
You don't sell a place for people to have. You already have it, and people can make it. It has been made and can be played.
For those who are willing to let people play around with their place, there is the option to open it. |

@Chaos
"You sell virtual clothing for the sake of getting profit."
But how can you say the two still aren't the same? Designing it - even for profit - still involves a creative process.
"Free models are for dissecting to find out more about building and scripting. Uncopylocked places are for dissecting too."
Which you can clearly do with sold places, too.
"Selling places though just goes against that thought of creativity, and makes it more of a competition on who can make a better place and profit off of it more."
But that clearly supports creativity. If it makes it into a competition of "Who can make a better place and profit more" then that just urges more people to be creative and want to be because there's a larger reward in the end.
"You don't sell a place for people to have. You already have it, and people can make it. It has been made and can be played."
Please clarify, and also explain how this fosters creativity.
"For those who are willing to let people play around with their place, there is the option to open it."
Please clarify how this is relevant to my points, and how this would change into something else after implementation of another market for places. |

You sell game passes. Get a profit off people going to your game.
"Which you can clearly do with sold places, too."
This makes it as if there's a different purpose for it.
"But that clearly supports creativity. If it makes it into a competition of "Who can make a better place and profit more" then that just urges more people to be creative and want to be because there's a larger reward in the end."
No. It's to be creative within your own game. Not to try and be better than someone else.
"Please clarify, and also explain how this fosters creativity."
You game is not to be sold to someone so they can sell it too. It's to be played.
"Please clarify how this is relevant to my points, and how this would change into something else after implementation of another market for places."
It doesn't have to be relevant to your points. It's relevant to the point in games being up for grabs.
Back to the main issue, People would just profit off of other people's games. And the only way to stop that is if they can't open it in studio. But if that's the case, then it doesn't encourage creativity anymore. |

selling places is not a stupid idea, but i agree with chaos although his arguments are a little contradictory.
anyway
FOR: people can make money from building just like shirt designers make money from designing.
AGAINST: people will buy a place only to edit it slightly and resale it as their own for huge amounts more. (which happens with shirts in all retrospect, you can just steal the asset template) |

But you can take the whole place. And re-upload it into a new slot, that hasn't given credit on it. |
