Investing In Money
The Riches of the Currency Exchange

By: Dr. Robert J. Freeman (RP - Trainmaster9)

"In the beginning we are all broke, not a dime to our names. Yet, we go on, in the pursuit of riches, in an attempt to better ourselves. We do not leave a path of destruction that some might tell, but we leave a paved road, and a couple of communities behind us. We are the entrepreneurs of Roblox. We are the game makers, the clothing designers, the nation builders, the clan leaders, the traders, and yes, the currency exchange speculators. The Currency Exchange is a complex, yet easy way of making cash. This book will debunk theories and set forth facts about the Currency Exchange in a way that we all can understand." -Dr. Freeman

[Chapter 1 - Welcome to the Exchange]
Some of you may have noticed the 'Money' tab in the Home bar. You've probably stumbled upon the Currency Exchange and among the confusing numbers with *EKK!* decimals, you found the Trade button and realized "Hey! I can change my currencies, cool!" And after a while experimenting with it you found out that, well, using the Market Order Exchange is a total rip off. That each time you trade your currency back and forth you end up with less and less. Then you noticed the Limit Order Exchange and tried using that, and when you put in put in your one Robuk you asked for ten million tixs. While, you probably found out that this is not how it works. Well, how does it work? If you do not know where the Currency Exchange is follow these simple steps;
Home tab > Money tab > Trade Currency tab

[Chapter 2 - What does it mean?]
Watch out because this chapter isn't going to be as easy as the first one. First, let's break down everything. Well start with you Currency Positions. If you look to the left of you screen while in the Currency Exchange you will see a tab that says "My R$ Positions" This tab will show you all your current trades from Robux to Tixs. The "My Tix Positions" is the exact opposite showing all your current trades from Tix to Rubux. Now the term 'Current' is important. It means in this case transactions that are still processing. If your trade as fully gone through, they will no longer appear here and will show up Trade History tabs... Which those are pretty self explanatory. You will also notice at the top of the left screen you will see a green 'Trade' tab. Once you click this you will see a small screen pop up with two options, "Market Order Trade" and "Limit Order Trade" When using Market Order (MO) you will a part that says "What I'll Give" that is the amount you are trading. Remember to make sure the little drop down box next to it is set to the currency you are trading from. In MO you will have a empty area under that called "What I'll Get" This shows you how much you will receive in the trade. This system should rarely, if ever, be used. If you try to trade currency back and forth using MO you will loose cash each time until you eventually end up with 0 of both currencies.

Math Example (Not real values): 4 R$ = 40 Tix | 40 Tix = 3 R$ | 3 R$ = 30 Tix | 30 Tix = 2 R$ (And so on...)

Now we move on to Limit Order Trade. With Limit Order (LO) you have control over what you get, and what you give. Under the LO panel, you will get two boxes. Both like those in MO, but in the What I'll Get area, YOU put in the amount you get. Now you can not just put in some random numbers and hope it will work. There is math involved... Be prepared.

In the right you will see some what look like random numbers. At the top you will see the word Pair. Under that it says "Bux/Tix" this is just telling you which side is which for the numbers next to it under "Rate." The Rate is the current rate at which the currencies are going for. The Rate numbers will always be the last bid (How much you want/how much you get) made by a Robloxian. In the LO system you always want to beat the other bides for the lest selling rate. Skip the row that says "Spread" we will get back to that. Go down to the area that says "Available Tix | Available Robux" This is the trading hub. This hub will always show the Top 20 trade offers. Each one is labeled as a ratio such as 67 @ 1:14.683 The number before the @ is the number of Tix/Robux being traded. The 1 before the : doesn't matter but it means that each robuk in this trade is going for the number after the : Now this is not the amount a person will receive... This is the amount a person is getting per Robuk. We will examine this more in Chapter 3. Under the Available Tix the same principle still applies. Here is what it will look like "376 @ 14.461:1" As you can see the ratio is flipped so the 1 is on the other side, this will be explained in Chapter 3. Now let's go back up to the Spread. The Spread is the difference between the Bux rate and Tix rate. The spread is actually a decimal... It's just not shown. For example a positive spread of 221 is, in decimal form, 0.221. So let's say the that the going rate for Robux was 14.461 and the Tix was 14.682 and the Spread is 221. That means the difference between 14.461 and 14.682 is 0.221. The Spread has an important role in telling you what and when to trade. Finally, the High/Low section is virtually useless. It can, however, be used in Currency Exchange Market Research to see what can cause a currencies rate to increase or decrease. No study on the mater have ever been perused.

[Chapter 3 - Use in the Market]
We will now see how to trade currencies to make a profit. First, you'll need a calculator (A real life one is preferred over the one on your computer.) you'll also need a piece of paper so you can keep track of your trades.

If you are trading R$ to Tix you will want to take the amount of R$ you are trading and multiply it by the conversion rate for Tix. This is the one right of the /. Take the number you got and round it. Now got Trade and switch it to Limit Order. For the one that says "What I'll Give" put the amount of R$ you are trading. Make sure that the currency switch is set to the right one. Then in "What I Want" put the number in you got in the calculator. Click Trade and wait for the trade to execute. Make sure before you trade the Allow Split Trade box IS checked. Here is an example: Rate for Tix is 13.533 | You are going to trade 300 R$ | 300 time 13.533 equals 4059.9 rounded is 4060.

Now if you are trading from Tix to R$ you divide. Take the amount of Tix you are trading and divide it by the Bux rate. That is the amount you want to trade for. Here is an example expanding off the previous one: Rate for Bux is 13.292 | You are trading 4060 Tix | 4060 divided by 13.292 equals 305.44... rounded is 305| You made a 5 R$ profit. Once you start doing this with a larger amount of cash your profits increase.

Note: Never trade to Robux when spread is negative, this probably means that the Robux Rate has fallen significantly. Trade to Tix when spread is negative.

The ratios have very simple. ':' just means per. So, for example 13.252 per 1 tix or 13.252:1 when dealing with Tix to R$ the 1 will always be on the right. The opposite is true when dealing with R$ to Tix, the one will be on the right.

I encourage everyone to study the Exchange as to figure out more about when the best times to trade are, it may help you in the future.

Nice guide for way back then.

There are still needs to be an advanced currency trading guide though.
