Yes, I know that there is a firestorm about the price floor. I'm on the side against the price floor. I have heard that they have lowered the price floor, yet I am still unhappy. I shall first address the grievances caused against a few people and myself.
First, remove the price floor. I understand that this was an attempt to prevent copying. While this successfully prevents copying and rewards sellers, this severely affects other users. Some users refuse to pay for a free game. It is an injustice to the people and unfair.
The price floor is unconstitutional. Here's why: 1. ROBLOXIANS were not give any say about the price floor. We couldn't decide if we liked the range or not. We couldn't decide if we wanted to institute this floor.
2. The price floor restricts our freedom. That specific freedom is freedom of enterprise. Before the price floor, users could set whatever price they wanted on their items. This was free enterprise, a freedom restricted by the price floor. Price floor has been here before; there is no reason to take that away.
3. ROBLOX has violated the social contract between the people and the government. According to John Locke, the role of the government is to protect the citizen's natural rights. Property is on of those natural rights. The price floor takes away the right to property because it makes clothing harder to reach. It doesn't matter that the price floor has been lowered; I will reiterate that the price floor restricts our freedom. Since our natural rights have been violated, the people have the right to alter or annihilate the government.
The price floor is also bad for business. Here's why: Some users are threatening to leave. Others have left, probably telling people about the overpriced clothing. A few have made YouTube videos on the price floor, calling it "desperate." This will likely scare off potential new users, thus harming business for ROBLOX. New users mean potential consumers of Robux and customers to Builders Club.
I hereby propose a change to the price floor. In order to disavow the usurpation of our freedom, the price floor should be removed. The price floor should then be replaced by a new software. I exhort ROBLOX to design a software that recognizes similarities in pictures and templates.
Here is how the software should work. A user submits a template or picture. If a different user has already submitted a template or picture, a message will be sent to the user who first submitted the aforesaid template or picture. The message should ask the first user if he or she will allow the user with a similar picture or template to use the same design. If the first user declines, then the former is not allowed to use that design. However, if the latter approves, then the latter receives a portion of the profits that the former makes from that design. Both users are rewarded. While it does not completely prevent copying, it still rewards the users who make wonderful textiles.
ROBLOX stated in its most recent price floor article that it will be lowered, and that they expect users to make money through making great games. There are users who are solely interested in playing games, and some are solely interested in buying rather than building, and some are interested in both.
Note that this is not meant to show malice. Rather, it is an attempt to improve the ROBLOX experience.
All users are created equal. |

Let me point this out to you.
This is not a government. Virtual economies don't require any laws to be followed.
WE didn't have any say because they don't have to let us have a say.
The price floor is bad for business not ONLY because people are quitting, but also because the majority of people unsatisfied are buying BC or leaving-- cutting short on NBCs, who actually run the company because ROBLOX receives big bucks from the companies advertising on ROBLOX's site, therefore drawing in more money than ANY other BCer. |

Stop. Just... stop. We don't need this anymore. You can survive without virtual clothes. Get over it.

| In a sense, ROBLOX is a government. For example, ROBLOX sets the rules, regulates our in-game conversations, and sets taxes. |

Now this is where you're wrong:
Roblox is not a government. It is a game controlled ENTIRELY by its creators. Although they want to give the community a voice, they DO NOT have to follow anything we say. They can do whatever they want without being at fault. |

Makes sense FunnyBunny.
I just really wish ROBLOX could just turn back prices to normal, they'd be doing us a good favor. |

Don't forget that we also agreed to the ToS (Terms of Service), which states that the owners can make any changes they want to the game without being persecuted. Just reinforcing the idea. Contracts tend to do that, which is why one should READ before agreeing |

Oh my god. Quit talking about the Price Floor before you start up a chain of threads whining and crying about the price floor. |

| If ROBLOX sets the rules, is it not the law? If it is the law, is it not the government? A government sets the limits, which is what ROBLOX does. |

I agree with all that government law stuff, but dude:

| Also, ROBLOX is not entirely controlled by users. You have just made a very extreme statement. Who makes the hats in the hats in the catalog? ROBLOX (with the small exception of Matt Dussek). Who installs price floors? ROBLOX. Who puts in the new features? ROBLOX. Which users are moderators? ROBLOX staff. ROBLOX has control over users. It decides whether or not that content should be deleted, or if it should suspend or ban a user. |
