| I really don't understand the claims that next-gen consoles are already outdated. In what way? They may be in a couple of years, but right now they have things like 8 core processors that most gaming pc's don't have. Games are not yet at the point where they are taking full advantage of the specs in the next-gen consoles, so any pc more powerful then that is either overkill or future proofed. |

"Games are not yet at the point where they are taking full advantage of the specs in the next-gen consoles"
except that there are rumors that games are already being capped at 30FPS on next-gen consoles to push 1080p HD. |

| Developers don't have down how to take full advantage of the console hardware yet. The games will be running at 60fps though. Battlefield 4 will be 900p at 60 fps. |

| Honestly, 30 fps is fine if it maintains the framerate there. If it drops down at times then it is no good. |

It's old news now that the new consoles are designed to be more like PCs.
It's concerning because in the old days, we'd be able to say that developers would need to familiarize themselves with the hardware, but apparently that's not the case anymore. |

Consoles are still too expensive for what you are getting. Graphically, they still aren't up to par and the games are still too expensive to compete with PC. Games such as RYSE cannot even hit 30 FPS without being put into 900p and then up-scaled. It's quite sad.
PCs cost more upfront, but then you save so much more money on games...
Plus you more or less require a PC now a days. |

yeah because late 7th gen had really good framerates right?
On the other hand, I'm left-handed. |

| Actually, console games can be just as cheap if not cheaper than pc games if you know what you are doing. You just got to know when to trade games in and how to take advantage of Gamestop sales. I almost never pay full price for any game. I've gotten brand new games for $13 at the midnight launch. |

But it's not a few games at launch for $10. |
