The ROBLOX forum needs a huge overhaul. Less than a year ago, some pictures were replaced and some fonts were changed. Apart from that? Nothing new for years.
If you haven't noticed, the ROBLOX forum is a fairly closed community. In comparison to the number of players that play on the games, there really aren't a lot of new players on the forums. Why?
The forums are TOTALLY SEPARATE from the games! They are not intertwined at all, and if not for the logo at the top, the forums could be passed off as a completely different website.
Furthermore, the forums feature flawed features, such as the post count system, which puts forward the idea that quantity>quality, and also encourages spam. The "top poster" system has been broken for years.
Instead of a post count system, there should be a + and - for every post that is posted on the forums. Users that collect a lot of posts with a lot of + will be shown where their post counts would be. This feature could also be disabled at the user's choice. This means that players that add high quality posts will be more obvious than spammers, who otherwise would get a lot of posts but a lot of - points.
After this is implemented, a new "Top 100" system could be given to players who receive the most + points. Of course, this system is not flawless, with a player being able to make virtually unlimited alternative accounts, farming will be obvious, but we will have to work around that.
Furthermore, to intertwine the forums with the games, "Feedback" button could be added to games which would open a text box for the poster to type in. This then would be posted directly into the thread that the game owner intended, so that feedback can go straight into the forums. This would be much more efficient than people leaving private messages to the user.
The other reason why many people who play the game aren't foruming is simple: they tend to be younger users. This forum has a very formal layout that could be considered boring. This could be changed.
Furthermore, the lack of features is striking. Of course it is difficult to achieve a balance between features and feature abuse by people, but adding a simple quote system, a signature system (with a formal limit) would improve the forums vastly.
I could go on, but I'll leave these points for now. |

| I see a problem with your feedback idea. What if someone is very respected in one forum, but happens to go another and loses all of their up votes after posting only a single thing there? |

| Then that's their mistake. |
