I personally think my whole rank system / class system is a terrible system and was really only suitable for the game during its testing phase years ago. I've been meaning to change it but I don't want to destroy everything everyone has worked hard for.
I was thinking that I would take the rank of the user, and translate it into an exact number of points. Each user needs a certain amount of Exp to rank up to a certain rank, so if I work it backwards I can give them as much Exp as it took them to get to where they are, and give it to them in a form of usable Points.
With these usable points they could buy features such as weapon upgrades. The whole system where you get a new weapon every 10 ranks will be removed. If you spent a long time getting to rank 100 to get all of the weapons don't worry, because the amount of Exp it takes you to get to rank 100 will translate into enough points to buy/upgrade weapons and back to where you were (I will make sure of it).
I was thinking of creating a set of base guns. One of them is a standard paintball gun that fires paintballs, another would be a rocket launcher that fires projectiles, and there may be a few more if I come up them. The general idea is that a user can buy and select a base gun and can purchase upgrades for it. The main base gun will be very much identical to the Starter class. Types of statl upgrades one can buy for it would be increased muzzle velocity, increased accuracy, decreased recoil, more paintballs per reload, and possibly more. I may make these in the form of values that one can use points to increase (for example, muzzle velocity) or decrease (for example, recoil) directly, or I may make them in the form of attachments that one can snap onto the base weapon to make it better. The former is obviously the easier of the two, but may be less aesthetically pleasing. If I do the latter I will also make other attachments for the paintball guns like weapon sights (for example, the sniper rifle has a scope and will come with one by default like it currently does, but you may also purchase scopes with in game points for other weapons if you please).
These are just ideas and I think if I implement this it would open the door for a lot of updates that I just can't do right now. The main reason I want to do this is so that I can keep creating content and I can't do that if obsolete content is getting in the way. The rank system needs to go, but I will do everything I can do ensure that you are not being ripped off because I know that all have worked hard for your rank. This will also hopefully fix the disappearing rank glitch, where your rank resets to some odd value, I'm not really sure why that happens.
Post your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. Don't just object the whole idea without giving me a good reason why, I want to know why so I can potentially make it better. Don't be worried about your rank. |

| I agree I don't like it. This would be a more flexible system. I might still keep your rank as a stat if you still want to flash what rank you are, but it won't have a purpose other than that. Everything will be based on points. |

That idea is fairly nice - You should add some more maps, and also you need Mega VIP Access?
I've got a(n) idea to solve problems- Make a game pass saying, "Get Points Back" It costs somewhere near 20 Tickets?
The problem with that it won't give the exact. |

| I think that idea is greedy @Super because the people earned their points and they really don't have to buy them back. I think Daxter should do it the way he said he would. |

| If I were you, I would keep the rank system, just as a sort of indicator to show how skilled you are but with no actual purpose within the game, and add the point system you have designed. I might use the rank system in a toned down style (say rank 20 for a rocket launcher), but still keep a major focus on the points. I might also use the point system to provide some sort of power-up for a temporary time or some sort of cosmetic effect. |

| I will probably make shortcuts so you can buy upgrades directly with game passes, but their price won't encourage everyone to do it. |

I think that having a certain rank to unlock features could be a good idea, but I also think it doesn't matter. If a player is skilled enough to get a lot of features fairly quickly then why should their rank prevent them from doing that? Other stats may replace rank. Rank won't determine how good you are but your points, tags, outs, and other things will. Rank shouldn't even determine how good you are now, it's just a measure of how much you play. |

| I haven't played in a while and appeared to forgot about tags and outs. Those would say a lot. The points however, doesn't specifically say how good you are since you are gaining and spending them. But I do see your points, scratch out all but the last sentence on my idea. |

| He could add the new point system in with the rank saving script for some time, so that the rank can be converted to points. Then, at a certain point, just remove the rank part. If a player has not entered during the time from the new point system to the removal of the ranks, only they will lose their data. It wouldn't affected the daily, weekly, or monthly players at all. |

| Well the rank value is saved to their player, so it will still be there when they enter even if I remove the stat from the leaderboard. I can always convert it to points. Nothing will be lost. |

| What happens to the existing xp if you're rank 100? It took me a long time to earn, and I don't want to diminish it by spending it as points. |

| I really like this idea but I still want all the guns to be 1 hit kill. It would be cool if there was some kind of "voting feature" like the one in COR5 where players can vote to choose a map instead of having a map randomly picked. |

Guns will always be 1 hit
The Exp you currently have will be added to the points you get from your rank. I will do my best to make it so nothing diminishes, and I will test it extensively before overriding anything. |

| Sentries are very accurate, the only way you can avoid being killed by them is by quickly hiding behind cover or by running (if you are far enough away) because the paint takes time to travel and you can outrun it |

| Well, it isn't a bad idea. The rank system is sort of unnecessary. Not to sound like Battlefeild, but I think classes would be an idea. Unlocking them with the points you earn,(ex. Assualt, Starter, Explosive, Long range) then upgrading with maybe an accessories tab(ex. Scopes, Attachments, etc.[But that sounds a bit to much like Battlefeild])? |

| This is a nice idea. Also, you should make everyone that has a level over 100 to level 100, so there isn't an abundance of points. There also should be a point limit so you can't simply exploit to have 99999999. If you do you'd get banned or something |
