The man looks at you while you describe your allegiance to the Mikalzars.
"Ok, good. Sorry we had to knock you out and put you in a shed. Bevrile's orders. She represents the god of Paranoia, so she tends to be nervous of outsiders, to an extreme. No need to worry though, this town, Okver, is loyal to the Mikalzars. But that is currently irrelevant. I came to wake you up because we're under Vikar attack. You might want to come with me!" says the man, as he opens the door to the shed. The sound of swords clashing rings in your ears. What to do now? |

| I grab my hammer, and then take a look outside to see how many people are in the battle. |

| Thankfully, you only see 1 Ascendant, which the man explains to you is the Ascendant that currently defends this town. In the Mikalzars' territory, there is always one Ascendant to defend a Mikalzar village, while a mortal mayor rules it. Otherwise, it's safe save for the 50 or so Vikar soldiers and the 34 Milkalzar soldiers. They're outnumbered, but they're the only one with an Ascendant, two if you elect to help them. |

| I suppose that I might as well go out to help him. Also, do I know this Ascendant? |

| Bevrile was the leader of another squadron. You only briefly talked with her before a mission to destroy a major Rukinol fortress. Bevrile has a body that strikes horror into enemies, with glowing spectral blue hair, transparent blue skin, and a dark, evil looking, black dress, plus she floats. She is the champion of the god of Paranoia after all. She has to look menacing. |

| We'll there are weirder Ascendants, after all. I've fought side-by-side with some weirder ones, to be honest. But back to the battle. I throw my hammer at the leader of the attackers. |

Ah, but who is the leader? The Vikar soldiers all look the same, with steel armor, swords, and big old shields and bows, and your hammer only manages to severely wound one in the head, causing him to drop... well you know. xD
You'll need to search for the Vikar leader. They usually have a thick golden ring at the top of their heads, with some big red plumage and one of those daggers used to show position. |

| Well then, I suppose that I might change my strategy - Flank them. I'll take the left, and hope that my ally takes the right. |

| The man moves with you, parrying and slicing through Vikar soldiers. Of course, it's a mortal versus a bunch of them, an unfair advantage that requires you to gain more ground to even the odds. |

| They'll all be focused on me, and my ally. This will allow the entire army to charge them from the front, winning us the battle. |

| It almost works, and most of the Vikar soldiers find themselves victim to Mikalzar blade. However, there are still a pretty large amount of Vikar soldiers, with better armor, better weapons, and they have Brevrile surround in a circle, just jabbing away at her until she dies. You should help her if you want to gain more ground in this battle. Two Ascendants are better then one, right? |

| I go to help her. Damn, I'm just glad that this attacking party didn't choose to bring an Ascendant! |

| Your hammer strikes one dead, but there are 2 others. One hits you with his shield, the shock of the attack almost leaving you crippled. But, fortunately, you are currently only disoriented. |

| He dodges, and in turn stabs your side at the small kink in your armor. The sword doesn't go very deep, and it doesn't hit any vital organs, but it still hurts as he takes it out. |

I smash down at him with my hammer (Again). |

Oh... this is hard making you take damage. xD Lets just say his sword penetrates a little past your metal.
He attempts to dodge, but finds his leg broken instead. |

| The angle of his head, and the momentum of your hammer... well, heads are rolling. Thankfully, your next swing manages to hit it's target fatal locations. Charge to save Brevrile? |

| You charge in to flank the soldiers making the circle around Brevrile. One effective hit could distract them long enough to make Brevrile cast one of her fear spells. |
