I'm looking for some realistic RP, characters can and will die if you don't roleplay realistically and break the rules.
Rules - No metagaming - Just because you read there CS does not mean you know about them, ( 1 strike) No power gaming - If a other character shoots you, you need to roleplay the injury and most likely die. Don't kill without decent RP reasons. Roleplay realistically.
Maybe we can get a sci-fi, apocalypse kinda thing going on. I'm thinking.
Also by realistic roleplay, I mean you won't be a 14 year old American able to hold and shoot, let alone acquire a AK-47 with skill. Maybe you could use a handgun, keep it real.
Any ideas for the theme? How about this.
Typical zombie apocalypse, slow but deadly zombies, 5000 to 1, but ill think of some disturbing, obscure and strange things to add to the plot. So as it goes on, we'll find out more about the infected, how they where created and other conspiracies.
I control all major NPCs, you can RP seeing a lone bandit, maybe a couple of travellers, etc. but I control the main factions.
You break three rules and/ or roleplay unrealistically three times, it's game over form your char.
I want decent rp too, along with character development |

No special infected, just slow and stupid zombies that travel in the numbers - that will mash you up if you get close to them, i'm also thinking of adding a HP system.
100/100 for all.
you can bleed out if your injured and at a certian point, you'll be incapacitated then die - if you aren't properly treated and medical supplies are scarce due to looting. So i guess people won't run around going rambo.
if you happened to be shot in the head, it's a instant -100 - unless it's a special circumstance. (( with a good reason)).
we'd also need to RP gather supplies, etc.
it's going to be set in a fictional location, as i am poor at geography. But we can make the terrian together, anyone else?
if you got any ideas for a different plot speak up, unless this is good. |

So far, all seems perfect, apart from the HP system. That's unrealistic to have a HP system. Players should be left to themselves to decide injuries, but we must be VERY strict about handling your injuries realistically.
(taking into account blood loss, shock, the fact that wounds still hurt even when bandaged, infections, limited movement for certain wounds, bandages may tear, get dirty, or need replacing, etc.) |

Sure, good point.
Now, we need to add the basic facts.
you aren't a extremely brave warrior, if you get a gun to your face, you'll be scared. You need to RP gunfear.
Also, i'd like a artic environment to start off with - but we could travel to different climates.
For the sake of the RP, we are in a alternate world - the geographical layout of the planet is different, i'm sure you get the picture. But the map doesn't matter to much, we could start in around the middle. But, in what kinda climate do you want to start? |

| Winter would be realistic. Winter, everyone has a cold, immune systems are dying, people are depressed. Perfect opportunity for a zombie outbreak. Sanity should be a point as well, obviously not everyone will be able to stay completely sane during all this. Also, we should be extremely strict on people playing as characters with mental disorders, make sure they R.P them VERY realistically, otherwise we'll just have fools using sociopathy as an excuse to not be scared. |

The zombies are resistant to the heat and cold, so they'd be able to survive solo. Also, agreed. In alot of roleplays i've been in, people use mental disorders to just goof off. Also, you can accept/decline CS's on the roleplay, when it is ready - and you can choose if a character dies or not, due to his/her choices.
Also, one more thing.
Guns - should we start off without guns, or with guns. Or does it depend on your character? |

| Depends on character, since with the right licenses, or with military experience, it is legal to carry or transport guns and ammunition. But nothing too powerful, maybe an AK or something for an experienced or military-backgrounded character, but with limited ammo. For regular civilians, only guns would be metal-pellet rifles, or maybe some low-power pistols. Sniper rifles and non-improvised explosives would be relatively rare. Military camps would probably be set up to try to hold off the infection, and to limit infected areas, etc, but it's likely most guns there would already be looted, standard guns for police force is stuff like Mp5s. Knives, however, would be pretty common. Kitchen knives, butchers knives maybe, if you were a butcher, perhaps some old WW2 guns that could've been restored if you were a collector of such weapons. Trench knives as well for the WW2 collectors. As for clothing, simple armours would be easy to make, scraps of rubber from old car tires and some simple biker suits+the protective gloves and boots would be pretty tough. Scraps of metal would also be easy to find, and good for fortification. As for weapon skills, we don't want civilians doing 'l33t 360 lol quickscope noscope 1v1v1v1v1vf1v1vv1v1jdiuoghso[li' with some old damaged pistols whilst they've just involuntarily urinated in their trousers as they're being chased and mauled in alleyways by horde of flesh-eating undead. |

I guess that's a wrap, one more question.
Do we start together, after finding a similar shelter or do we meet each other? |

| What you should do about the HP is something like the pip-boy. And I'd like to join an actual realistic zombie RP... And zombies should be attracted by noise... |

Reviving this. We'll start in a cold climate, any ideas for the plot?
I'm thinking of something like the RAGE virus, disease eventually causing death then re-animation. |

I was thinking about Ophiocordyceps unilateralis... that zombie ant syndrome that evolved to humans.

I've had the idea of a dice roll to determine your characters pre-apocalyptic assets.
1=Very few survival skills/little access to proper gear weapons 6=Trained SWAT or something similar with access to high civilian grade semi-automatic weapons. And so on.
Also perhaps the zombie virus is spread airborne but this can be combatted with a simple mouth covering to gasmasks. |

Ugh. The Dice-rollers and health stalkers are invading. I think I'll just go and let you lot make another generic dice-rolling R.P.
I mean, it's more fun if you let people make their own choices, within reason. I only believe in dice rolls for one thing and that's Dungeons'n'Dragons.
