My site on my computer (It's a family computer mind you) is under parental controls. A few days after studio 2013 came out, I became inable to log into studio period completely stopping me from updating any of my places. I've tried going here, messaging the staff... Basically everything I can, but nothing works. All the problems seem to stem from the fact my site is not an administrative site, and my parents will not let me have an administrative site on the computer for "fear I will abuse my potential power"
I already have re-installed countless times, using IE, chrome, firefox, in multiple different methods of installation, but nothing.
In detail, the problem is when I click "login" for studio, I get the outline for the popup box to log in, but the box itself doesn't work. Also, clicking "sign up" or trying to go on roblox's main site on studio gives me the landing screen, but clicking log in or making an account does nothing- the buttons related to making or logging into an account does nothing. The video for the landing screen also does not load. This is unique to studio- If I use IE, or Chrome, and access the website that way, everything works, including the video.
Here are some screenshots, edited to show important stuff: Here is the studio screen, and the login popup thingy not working: http://www.roblox.com/Bug-item?id=131095786
Here is the landing, and the video not uploading (Might be useful) http://www.roblox.com/Bug2-item?id=131097572
Anyway, it is definitely to do with my site not being an administrative site. My father went on his site (administrative) and it worked easily. He doesn't want me on his site. I sent an email to info@roblox.com on his site (under supervision) and did everything they asked, didn't work. They asked me to delete my temporary browser files, change my firewall, and download roblox from a different place, none of which worked. My father then created a new site and temporarily made it administrative. (the site I'm on now) Whilst it was administrative, the bug was fixed, but a few days after it was turned into a standard account the bug returned.
My OS is windows vista (I'm only a child, my parents make these desisions...) and our internet browser is internet explorer (google chrome and others are really slow.)
Does anyone else have this problem or know a fix? I've already done everything blatantly obvious, though, and my parents aren't exactly easy to persuade... |

| Your using Windows Vista? That's a problem. Have you heard of Windows 7 or Windows 8? |

There's this thing called being a child with stubborn parents, There's also this thing called being in a lower-class family meaning we can't afford a new computer every year.
I knew some joke like that would emerge. |

@frozen
It isn't a joke. Computers shouldn't be used past an age of 3 years. |

@michael
I never said it won't work. Simply, you should not use a computer for more than 3 years after its release, due to general causes. |

| Like what? Like I said it runs like the day I got it, not to mention a new computer would have Windows 8 and I don't like Windows 8 |

Well Beta,
The computer has nothing to do with it- well, not the OS itself. I can get it to work on an administrative account, but I have parents. And that means I don't have an administrative account, which breaks it for some reason. :/ |

| Apologies I stalked this thread but, I will make this an example of a update breaking a feature of ROBLOX. |

@foreverpower
Vista isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I have Vista and everything works just fine, including Roblox. If anything, it's an issue with a current update; nothing more, nothing less.
Besides, Vista only sucked before the two service packs came out for it, which fixed most of the issues that vista had previously. |

Sounds to me like the problem you're having is that quite possibly, secure connections are not permitted on your user account. This would be a reasonable assumption, if there is a logging system that monitors internet activity. Since secure connections defeat the purpose of such software, HTTPS would have been blocked, and thus making it impossible for you to log in, or really do anything at all.
I cannot say for sure, since I don't know all the software and limitations that have been set on your user account, but it is a possibility.

If you know your parents' parental control pass----, then right click the studio icon and click "Run as administrator"
If you don't know your parents' parental control pass----, then I'm sorry, I don't know what I can do for you. |
