"My first gift, mortal, is the gift of the changeling. Should you take this gift, you shall be granted a brand new humanoid body that is to your specification in form; however, I cannot guarantee that I shall craft the body exactly how you wish. This body shall be sustained by a biological core- an organ within you that contains all your life-force. So long as this core is safe, your body shall heal at an extreme rate and shall not age. The body is extremely flexible, and may also be changed somewhat by yourself- you may extend any appendage by 50%, and you may change the toughness of your skin and adjust your muscle density to well past human levels- this body is also far faster and has far better reflexes than any human being alive. You may also change the physical features of this form, including age, gender, and muscle mass.
However, this body is mortal- should the core be destroyed, you will die. The body will also eventually succumb to age; however it will never show any outwards signs of ageing and shall be extremely long lived. You may not flex any appendages that have been extended; they remain rigid.
The second gift is that of the ascendant. You shall be given a human body, which you may decide the physical features of before it is crafted. The human body shall be long lived, though not as long lived as the changeling. The body will age slowly over its whole lifetime; as if a normal human being had its ageing process stretched out over many, many years- however, you shall start in this body at an age that makes you resemble a 17 year old, physically. You shall heal at the rate of a healthy, normal human being. You will have a powerful potential for telekinesis and telepathy, which shall grow passively over half of your lifetime- once you hit your midlife, your powers shall be fully developed. You may master three powerful skills, which shall be revealed to you through your journey. Telekinesis and telepathy are the least taxing of your powers; at most, they shall feel as if you are maintaining a brisk jog.
This body, however, is very mortal and is as susceptible to death as any normal human, and you must always maintain and practice your abilities lest you begin to lose your proficiency in them. Your ageing process shall begin at roughly a seventeen year old, and shall be stretched out across your long life to an elderly being.
The third gift is that of the sussarant. You are granted a spiritual form that most mortals cannot perceive. This form cannot be harmed, and cannot be killed. You cannot die. Though you are not omniscient, you have the ability to learn an infinite amount of information and will never forget anything you have learnt. Your mind will never falter, in any way. Every once a decade, you may send a mortal messenger, and you may send visions to them. The more faithful followers you have, brought by your messenger, the more you are able to realize the full potential of your power.
Beyond these traits, you have no guarantees with this gift; your abilities shall unfold as you gain more followers.
The final gift is the gift of the construct. You are gifted the form of an indestructible arcane construct, powered by an indestructible arcane core- which your soul is fused to, permanently. The construct will appear, feel and sound like a normal human being, of your physical specifications. The construct is physically powerful, and very resistant to damage. When you do become damaged, however, you will leak arcane energies into the surrounding environment. This will be damaging to most biological life. The construct has considerable reserves of magical energies to be used either defensively or offensively. The construct may de-construct itself into arcane energies, and reform where it desires. It cannot tire, or know pain.
The construct will literally never die. It will never change its form from its inception. The construct may never sleep, neither may it shut down. Whilst the construct has a large reserve of energy, it may never create spells; rather, it can only create very simple defensive and offensive structures, such as a shield or as a cutting beam."
After his long, wordy explanation of the gifts, the shadow moves towards you for the first time. You begin to realize just how tall he is; perhaps seven foot or even more.
"So, mortal", he says- the voice coming from within himself, rather than from inside you, "which gift shall you take? Oh- and of course; you are more than able to back out and decline the gifts. Though, through this, I cannot guarantee your safety."

"Hm... this is a difficult choice, shadow-man."
Ednes scratched at his chin, and once again, shrugged. He was a bit of a gambling man, so he didn't think too long.
"I'm going to go ahead and be the ascendant, if you please." |

| "As you wish, mortal. I wish you luck in your endeavours. Before I cast you off into a distant realm, however, I must ask of you; what would you like your body to look like? It must be human, remember." |

"Fair features fit for a king. I want blue eyes and fair hair, tall and commanding. I want healthy muscles, and want to be handsome."
Ednes grins once again, leaning back in his chair.
"Much like I am now, actually." |

"I like you already, mortal. I'll be sure to give you extra attention."
You find yourself, in the blink of an eye, lying down upon what appears to be a sand dune. The desert sun is baking down upon you, and a harsh wind is blowing across your flesh- bringing abrasive sand with it. In the distance, you believe you can hear some kind of strange, wounded animal. It makes a pained sound, a mix between a bleat and a moo. |

| Ednes shrugs, looking around at his surroundings. He looked 'round and 'round, seeing nothing but sand. He scowled a bit, and, blocking out the sounds of the animal, tried to use the telekenisis powers he was supposed to have on a bit of sand. |

| The sand and bulges, and begins to dance in it's place; it appeared to have more energy to it, yet it lacked any direction or control. |

Another grin splits Ednes' (fair) face, and he directs it up, up, and away.

| The sand flies above the ground, defying both gravity and the strong wind. However, as it flutters above about 12 feet, the sand drops back to the ground. |

Ednes cracks his fingers, and begins mo(o)ving towards whatever was making that horrible sound.

| Ednes begins to climb up the sand dune, to see upon the other side what exactly is mo()aning. Upon reaching the crest and looking over, he notices a strange, ape-like creature with a human looming over it. The human is occasionally sta..bbing the beast, in seemingly random locations. |

Ednes strides towards the human, cracking his nuckles.
"Ho, friend!"
As he does, he inspects the muscles on his new body- how exactly were they? |

The muscles clearly shown a man in physical shape, however they were by no means excessively large. Ednes could probably handle himself in a fight, but his body was still firmly human.
The human turns his gaze towards Ednes, his knife still striking at the creature. He does not say a single word. Now that Ednes has gotten closer to the human, he can make out the human's outwards appearance- they are covered in a black veil that hangs tight to their entire being, seemingly held in place with bindings in specific areas. The veil has a cape upon it's back, which is as thin as the rest of the fabric- it flutters in the wind in a rather strange manner, however. It doesn't really seem in time. The human's face is covered in the fabric completely. |

Ednes, angered that the fool muslim didn't answer him, reached out to the dagger mentally, trying to levitate it above the man.
"Kneel." |

| It is with some exertion that Ednes rips the dagger from the figure's hand, which unsteadies them- causing the figure to fall onto the dunes, next to their prey. |

Ednes begins shouting at the pitiful man, the dagger floating near to it.
"Kneel, or die!"

| The man gets onto his knees, and then begins to claw at his prey with his hands. Though veiled, they work well at cutting into the flesh. |

Ednes smirks, and decides that that was close enough. He brings the knife towards himself, and continues his trek into the desert.
