I've been trying to use seats as a way to move through walls... Thought it would be fun. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble with getting the character to actually sit on the seat instead of sitting in the air where there were when they touched the seat. So, why does this happen and is there a way to get the character to actually sit on the seat? Thanks in advance for any help. |

| Unanchor the seat, weld it if neccessary. |

Ah, thanks. That's a very weird bug considering most seats are going to need to be anchored or welded to prevent them from flying off or bouncing around. Also, welds require scripts or commands to do any good. Hopefully the Roblox Administration will do something to make those more flexible. |

By Weld he ment surface weld it to the wall not script weld. You can change the surfaces of the brick with the dropdown menu to the left of the anchor tool the icon is >> |

| No, the seat is inside the wall. You can't use a surface weld. Remember, I wanted to use the seat to go through the wall. Only a script weld would suffice. |

A surface weld kept it in place while it was THROUGH the other part? You sure about that? In my experience, that doesn't work. |

Wrong. It does not work. Thanks for the misinformation though. I tested it and the only result was the seat flung out of the part. Both the seat and the part were covered in the weld surface and the seat did not stick in any way. Even if it had, an explosion could have knocked it loose anyway. The part was anchored as intended and the seat was unanchored to allow a character to actually sit upon it. The part was "10, 10, 1" in size and the seat was "2, 5, 2" in size and rotated so that the exact same amount of the seat was sticking out of both sides of the part as intended. After multiple trials, the results were always the same, the seat flung out of the part and could no longer serve the purpose I had intended for it (to move people through the wall by touching and sitting on it). |

| Yet it still works for me on my first try using the exact same sizing... |

The seat is unanchored and not script-welded, correct? And none of its sides are touching a parallel side of the part? |

| I should have said surfaces, not sides. |

| There is a wall, with a seat in it, the seat is connected to the floor by having a weld surface bottom, not anchored. The wall is anchored and it works. |

| I don't see where the issue is going on in this because I have zero issue with this at all...I even made a place right here just to show you. http://www.roblox.com/koala0226s-Place-Number-40-place?id=131458443 The seat isn't even welded its connected with its normal inlet bottom and the stud of the ground. |

Have you tried using a seat on both sides of the wall and a tele script in them? So you sit on one seat and it teleports you to the other seat. |
