I was bored enough to type all of this, not sure if you are bored enough to read it all lololol.

It's been quite a while since the last time there was a real update to Call of Robloxia 5. For most games that have been inactive for this long, that's considered a "dead game". This game is not dead, nowhere close to it, and even without updates for so long, it still roams around the second page. I will not disappoint you guys or abandon a game that has been in constant development for so long.

So.. What have I been doing for these past months? The updates stopped like a few weeks before my finals so that's an easy explanation for that time period. Then after that came summer volunteering of leading activities with 1st and 2nd graders. I had time to work on the game like a few hours or so, but that is about it.

Then my computer started acting up and started freezing in early July. Soon it got to the point where on startup, it would not get past the windows splash screen. And no, getting into BIOS setup to attempt a reinstallation of the computer did not work either. So the only option was sending it back to the company for a repair under warranty. I was too busy and/or lazy to find out how to get a 20 lb desktop shipped and to find out that I needed some RMA number and fudge like that. Got it working only weeks after that and just had it shipped two weeks ago. Now I am currently waiting for it to be shipped back, no news on that yet.

Meanwhile I have only two options, one using an old toshiba laptop that runs most lagless roblox games at best 20 frames per second and on my game, it is an average of 10 frames. The option is my dad's windows 7 sony laptop. That is only possible when he isn't home or doesn't take the laptop with him, so I don't get a lot of chances of using that. Yeah, so I'm stuck with the old toshiba. Meaning every time I want to test something in studio for debugging, gonna take a while to get that set up. Even moving the camera around is jerky and real slow. But progress is still possible, just not in the most efficient way.

———————Behind the Scenes Development————————

Because the main Call of Robloxia place always has people playing, it means that any updates made to the place must be a playable and functioning version of the place. When it comes to development, I would need to develop the place separately and finalize it before uploading to this main place. This is where I needed to open another active place, pretty easy option.

So if you have been checking on my profile and seen the CoR5 - Dev Testing place, that's where I upload the latest tests, projects, experiments, updates. The problem is that I usually end up breaking something in the process, which is not acceptable if it was on the real place. And then we have unfinished parts and inconsistency; like a gun that has this cool new script and the 39 others that don't. And that basically is the problem right now, only like five guns have experimental attachments, the rest don't. Only two guns have camo skin tests and the rest don't. Heck, the camo is only for me to play with lol.

The thing is, I always keep updating the one gun with the cool new script because I always find something new to add, polish, optimize, fix, and to organize within the coding. And if I constantly try to update all 40+ guns each time I do that, it would get me going in circles just copying and pasting (thanks to my messy code framework that started from three years ago). So right now, I need to focus on fully completing that single gun to make it work perfectly with all the new features I've added to it (believe me, there is a LOT I've added to that Thompson and the new MP40 model). I'm making good progress that is for sure, but I just need to set aside a lot of time to develop on that as well as shaylan007's time to rebuild all the gun models from scratch for smoother gameplay and more cool stuff (Attachments, camo, bolt animation, triggers, more historical detail and accuracy, and stuff like that).

————————New Features In Development————————

So you've read all of that to understand what's going on with Call of Robloxia 5, now it's time for the fun part of seeing what is in development so far. Keep in mind, all of the things on the list are coming straight from memory. There are a lot more other smaller changes and bug fixes that you won't know about or that I've forgotten.

- New game GUI
- Dynamic Lighting
- Realistic Prone
- Ability to play dead
- Smoother gun movement and animations
- Completely rebuilt gun models
- Better reloading animations
- Bolt animations maybe
- Smoother sniper scope transition, more elegant looking in quickscope shots
- Sniper scope sway, steady with Shift, reduce sway by crouch and prone
(This is a controversial one, cause all those trickshotters gonna be so mad about it, but at the same time it is a major element of the real Call of Duty 5 game that I cannot ignore.)
- Game mode round system (Only TDM set up so far, but now I have a framework at least)
- Points for winning rounds and less points for losing
- Match XP bonus, depending how much you helped your team
- Gun Attachments
- Gun Skin Camo
- Limit to number of ammo a gun can carry (Having 10k ammo is just absurd and ruins the point of picking up dropped guns)
- New throwing knives script (Believe me, the reflection/ricochet feature of this weapon is so fun to play with. The smoke trail effect is also very visually pleasing.)
- Raycasting for frags, molotovs, stickies, any throwing explosive for better hit detection and to have that awesome smoke trail
- New Knifing hit detection
- Knife Lunge (Target mouse directly on player and knife to lunge)
- Sprint knife with sidearms (Basically knife straight from the sprinting animation so you can go ninja)
- Dolphin diving (This is just the most hilarious feature to add, I'd be the first robloxian to implement it in a roblox game. Sometimes you can use it to leap out of windows. To execute the move, sprint and then press C to dive forward into prone. This feature only works if you are running on flat ground.)
- Sprint bobbing animation (So many people requested it. And now it is reality; the most visually pleasing part of running around maps to find people.)
- Radar GUI (This I am particularly concerned about adding to more lag, but I found a way to reduce it by having the dots blink and fade away every second, instead of updating constantly.)
- Always see teammates on radar
- Firing an unsilenced or muzzled gun shows you up on radar (Flash hider and suppressor attachments now do something)
- Reconnaissance perk now shows players on radar instead of signs above their heads (camo perk still cancels out killcam and this)
- New Factions (Germany, Japan, USA, and Russia. I apologize that other countries that played a major role in WW2 are not included because Call of Duty 5 only had these teams and I can only use the emblem images directly from there.)
- New uniforms based on faction (If you think you found a better uniform for a faction, send it to me if you want it in place of the ones I have planned)
- Forced ingame uniforms (This is another controversial change, because players insist on having their own clothes while playing. You will still keep your clothes in the lobby, but as soon as you enter the battlefield, you will get the army uniforms. Three main reasons for this change. One, you can spot differences between teammates and enemies easier. Two, I need it specifically for the realistic prone to work properly. Three, it looks more visually representative of a battlefield, fighting people in uniforms rather than people with fancy jackets and jeans or those really weird people wearing muscle shirts. And you won't be able to identify guests directly as you fight them, so they are treated as real players.)
- Seeing your legs in First Person view (Honestly, a Battlefield 3 element here that I felt like adding because it looks cool and again visually pleasing. Glad to know my legs are alway there when I look at em.)
- New spawning feature to reduce: It will check all possible spawn points for your team, see if an enemy is within 70 studs (number may change) and then spawn you here if there isn't one. If there is an enemy, then it will find another location and repeat the same process until you can spawn. I consider this concept as a revolutionary leap in the History of FPS games even among CoD (sarcasm) and will hopefully reduce the times you will spawn right next to an enemy. The only problem is that on small maps where the enemy could be all scattered out, you may end up in the lobby forever. Something that I'll be looking into as I test this out further.

Ultimately, this major planned update attempts to bring Call of Robloxia 5 back up as a unique game of its own, hold its competition with other games in the genre (that is lie. unless borderline doesn't come out for another summer), and provide a much more appealing and rich experience for players to have fun.

(troooololol I sound like some overly formal businessman trying to sell a proposal. naw, I just be doin this to make my game look good and get it back up to the front page to beat games like borderline, paintball, authority, battlefield, base wars, and some other popular shooting game that i might not know about yet lolololo)

So yeah, that is about it for this insanely long post. I think I may have gotten into more detail as I went down the list and left out a lot of others. Probably just makes it easier for me to copy and paste this into the change log when all of it finally comes out. I still have a long way to go with all of this stuff.. =D

I read it all! I'm excited about the dolphin diving and the radar. I'm also excited about the new gun models and accessories. I'm a pro at it, lvl 34 :3 I want a prestige.

Actually, you might REALLY want to rethink the spawning, because on the dev test, I lead a full team to spread and cover all spawns, making the other team stay in the lobby the rest of the game. It was funny watching the chat fill with hate, but being able to do it is partially annoying to everyone. Maybe you could code a system that the other team can only stay in a spawn area for 10-20 seconds before dieing. Also, could the "Steady aim" perk affect sniper sway?

These updates would be great, I can't wait (for some of them!) But, how much lag would they create? That's the only thing I worried about, all that stuff would create a decent lag, I don't have a great computer. Anyways nice job, I really appreciate you doing this!

Well, good luck with that. I do suggest getting more manpower though (friends). Don't forget to balance the detail put into the weapons and maps!

You should add more game modes such as Search and Destroy and etc, and add final killcams. It would be really cool if someone did like a quickscope and in the final killcam it shows that player quickscoping, and upon the killing it goes into slow motion.

So excited for the release of these new updates! :D
I'll still keep on playing the Dev Test game to stay tuned!

Super excited about the Dolphin Dive, not so pumped about the sway (I tend to be one of those quickscopers/Trick-shotters...) BUt whatever it takes to make this gme more realistic, I'm cool with it.

I'm very exited about the new features, but I'm a little scared that lag might increase... Also I'm going to look REALLY stupid with your uniforms on and this snow camo helmet. Lol.
