This is pretty lengthy, but I'm sure you'll see a difference in your fighting. To start off, getting good at RCL is a pretty difficult task to accomplish. What I hope for you to achieve from this thread, is for you to be an above average RCLer. I'll mostly just put out the basics here, but if you want to be ONE OF THE BEST, you got to practice every day, it's the only way, learn the basics, then keep practicing your aim, and you'll be fine.
First off, the most important & difficult to grasp in my opinion is that bloody aiming. In close range, what I intend to is keeping my mouse on the enemy. That's really important, you don't want to shoot infront of the enemy in close range, obviously. I'll show you an example.

Skip to 0:03 in that video, that's where I start aiming, notice in the first few seconds, I missed a couple of shots, that's alright. I recovered by detecting his dodging pattern and killed him in roughly 3 seconds. Notice how I kept my mouse on him, that's important.
Read my last paragraph, "I recovered by detecting his dodging pattern", that's another important skill in aiming. Be able to identify patterns, it's pretty easy with practice, brought that up again, since it's that important. Enough with the close range, moving onto long range. This too is hard to master, since it's long range, you want to make sure you aim a little bit infront of where the enemy is going to jump too. I personally prefer the PSTL in long range, since its a little bit more accurate, but that's ultimately your choice.
There are 3 and only 3 ways of fighting. -1st Person -Mouselock -3rd Person
Obviously we're going to use 3rd person. Why? You're able to look around at your surroundings better, that's extremely important to look out for flanks or whatnot. In 1st person, you don't know how easy it is to aim against a 1st personer, sure it might be a little easier to aim if you aren't used to aiming while jumping, but, then again, practice while jumping, you'll get used to it, and forget about 1st person. 1st person shooting is bad, enough said. Mouselock is bad too, the whole front of you is facing towards the other team, the front of you is wider than the side of you (3rd person), making you easier to hit. My point is, use 3rd person and only 3rd person.
Dodging. There are two types of them, just pick the one that you're more comfortable with. Holding spacebar and not holding spacebar. Either way, you have to jump, you can't be on the ground, that's like shooting a basketball with your legs, you just can't be good like that. Another key point in dodging is not going into a predictable pattern, change it up, make it hard to detect. Dodging is a choice, pick whatever floats your boats.
Camera movement is especially important, look around, check around. In close combat, you want to be able to move your camera fast, adjust it to where it's easier to hit the enemy, don't just focus on your area, look around, clans flank all the time, don't be that one guy.
Communication. Other people use teamspeak, raidcall, skype, and other things. They might help you a little bit, but honestly, I find it easier to just type, it's probably because of my fast typing skills, but that's just me. I don't find calling backup hard, it takes less than half a second. But yeah, you do want to communicate in a form, doesn't matter what form. For example, "Backup at cve.", "heal I got you.", and so on. Abreviate if you need too.
Camera position. It needs to be exactly right. Not too far or not too far in. In the last video I posted, that's about how far zoomed out you should be, this is important in aiming obviously, just put it enough to where you can see around.
Just a couple of helpful tips, you might already know some. -Take off hats. (Hats deal in damage.) -Guns reload automatically, don't bother wasting a costly second pressing "r", just switch your weapon. -Advance only if your enemy is on low health, stay back, don't be agressive, be patient. -Hold your ground, the last thing you want to be is spawntrapped. -Don't leave your position, stick to it. -Attack in groups, when one person starts shooting through the cave, go out with him, protip: they die faster with more people aiming.)
Listen to this carefully, the 2nd most important thing is cover usage. Stick to cover always. You'll be dead faster than UAF if you stay in no cover, mark my word. Watch this video.

Notice. I'm in cover, I jumped out, notice how far I jumped out, I didn't go far out, I was pretty close to cover, I shot for a few seconds, then back in. Just repeat that in a battle, notice where I shot, right in front of the cover, if an enemy was to jump out of the cover, he/she would of taken damage just by jumping out.
Interpolation, some good RCLers claim to not use interpolation, it's all bs, they all mess with their settings. This setting helps you with your aim, I promise you.
1. Open up ROBLOX Studio. 2. On the top you should see "Tools" 3. Click on settings 4. When a box pops out, click on rendering on the left 5. Scroll down to where you see "DebugDisableInterpolation" 6. Check the box 7. Restart ROBLOX.
That should help your aim, it was suggested by Merely, so it's legit.
Last but not least, switching guns and gun order. What I mean by that is, I recommend you start off by using the GPR, but after you see it's reloading, quickly switch to PSTL, when that reloads, GPR, don't waste your time reloading when you could be switching your guns and doing as much damage as you can.
To conclude this essay, I just wanted to say I typed this all in about 15 minutes, so I expect typos and stuff, apologies if there are some. Hope I helped, you should see a change in your fighting, tell me how well this guide is, this is version 1, I'll try and go more in depth in later versions. Remember, most of this is just practice and teamwork, I suggest visiting this place to work on those two.
