-parts lack quality -power supplies usually suck -overpriced parts for what you pay for -thermal issues -bloatware -you have to pay ridicilous prices to get better stuff on them
(i.e i think you have to pay $100 more to just get 1 more GB of VRAM on alienware cards) |

| true but the PSUs being terrible is another ball game because a bad PSU alone can take out a whole motherboard and other parts with it |

See, they have to buy the parts to manufacture it. They need to have it assembled, and then they need to sell it at a price to guarantee a profit margin.
If you get all the parts yourself, and then put them together yourself, you eliminate the middleman, and save big money. |
