"Except GTA V has alot of competition"
not really, there aren't really any open world games coming out or that came out relatively recently that can even match up to GTA V's scope and quality
sr4 doesn't count because it's pretty much universally agreed saints row doesn't compete with GTA anymore |

| watch dogs will probably be like remember me , and if it isn't and it's actually going to be as cool as they're saying, it still won't match up to GTA V |

i've been following it since the e3 announcement
honestly it looks pretty good but i just can't see how it could possibly match up to GTA V, especially considering ubisoft's track record with open world games |

| Watchdogs looks pretty damn good I gotta say, but it doesn't look like an open world as big as GTA V. |

Can you explain why GTA V is better except the bigger map? |

@cool
sure
1. more alive world. ubisoft is really bad at this. they like to say their worlds will feel real and alive but they very rarely actually do, the only thing i've seen that can actually stand up to gta v is the profiler and even then that doesn't look like it will actually be cool outside of missions because it's not exactly going to be rocket science to just take sets of names and stuff to assign to a random NPC. in theory that kind of thing sounds really cool but if you've played LCPDFR it kinda gets old
2. size of content, GTA V is HUGE not just in map size, there's a dynamic stock market, there's plenty of side missions, hobbies, world events, etc. plus plenty of main mission variety, and how much of this will watch dogs have? considering ubisoft's track record with open world games (namely assassin's creed) it might look good beforehand but once you get to the actual game it all seems a bit meh.
3. the protagonists. aiden pearce, a gray morality type of vigilante? michael de santa, a protagonist who's already won. trevor philips, a sociopath who likes being a criminal. franklin clinton, a young gang member with little hope for the future. honestly, i feel that the characters are just so much more interesting than aiden, who gives off this vibe of a cookie cutter "gray" character.
i'd come up with more reasons but i have to get back to homework |
