After that, you just re-learn everything all over again, and you learn worthless crap that no one is gonna use in the real world. For example, when the teacher makes you do annotations of a story. No one in the real world is gonna read a book or passage and constantly waste most of their time trying to think hard about it or write loads of notes on it. Who does that?

i'm personally against annotating because i consider writing inside books an atrocity and using sticky notes is inefficient and an enormous waste of time
but i do love writing and literature so l.a. is still one of my favorite classes

| Language is useful when you're editing books, writing movie scripts, or translating words at times. |

@edward
I found books I like. It's just that LA class is just useless, stupid, and boring. You re-learn everything from the past and most of the new stuff you learn, isn't really gonna be used irl.

I feel rightfully ignorant of foreign languages. I do not like learning foreign languages for a grade. Move scripts are simple. Don't give me a job on it. I can do simple lame scripts for school plays and still get applause I'm not editing books. I'm writing the new "bible" (what I meant is nothing related to religion, figurative language yo) |

though strangely enough i feel the desire to read some english language books in french and i dont know why especially since i believe the translation is the voice of the translator and not the author |

no i mean the prose style is more important in fiction in nonfiction i dont care if the translator is telling me or if the author is telling me as long as it conveys the same information |
