| All I did was multiply the whole number and the denominator which was 6. That answer was 48, so then I added the numerator which was 2. Then it equaled 50. I assumed you wanted the reciprocal, so I put the fraction down like 50/6. |

8 2/6 = 8 1/3 8 X 3 + 1 = 25 = numerator 25/3 MAGIC!

| 25/3 is a reduced fraction that was 50/6, but it was divided by two. |

It's not divided at all. It's reduced. It's the exact same answer, only better XD

| I suppose that makes sense. If this were on one of my tests, I would have gotten that wrong because we always have to reduce the fraction. |

um reducing could mean a number of things. Say you have 12/24
Reducing it could turn into 6/12 4/8 2/4 1/2 But you want to say simplify so that it would be 1/2 |
