Chapter 1- New Arrivals
A sudden warmth caused him to wake up. That, or the rough material he was sleeping on. It felt like his mattress had been stuffed with rocks. Picking his head up, he began to wonder where he was. He sat up, coming to the realization he had, indeed, slept on rocks.
He was rubbed his eyes in an attempt to regain his vision. Everything was fuzzy, all he could make out was a blurred glob of brown and red.
The warmth grew stronger, more noticeable to him, as his vision started to get better. He was able to make out the environment- ragged rocky platform with some jagged rock spikes and walls, with bursts and flames of fire randomly appearing and burning out every here and there.
He found himself wide eyed, standing in shock. A bright light he hadn't noticed that shun light above him died down, leaving him in a gloomier darkness. All that illuminated this seemingly never ending cave was the bursts of everlasting fire.
Wondering where he was, a better question popped into his mind. Who was he?
Taking in the environment while trying not to panic, a blowing of a horn rang out and echoed through this fiery, expanding cave.
A shout, following the horn, was heard. "Kohl has arrived!"
Now he remembered. He was Kohl.
Chapter 2- Ro-War 3
A building had never held so much power. Of course, the building itself was pretty standard, besides the security and the people inside. It was a simple building, though it could decide the fate of the world.
This building contained the leader of every clan. No, not EVERY clan. Just those large enough to play any part in a war. After all, the Clan World had no clue what was going to happen next with all of these outbursts of war. VAK v TGI, BWE v RIC, now word of JC and SN had broken out. They had to decide what would happen, and fast.
"Order! Order!" Sonic shouted, pounding his gavel on the table. The slight roar of discussion among the clan leaders died down almost instantly. "The first meeting of the Clans and Guilds world has come to order. Our discussion, the next step. What is the next thing that is going to happen?
"As we all know, many groups have begun going to war. Will this spread? Or stay contained. I'm sure many of you are thinking of warring other groups who have their leader in this very room. How do we figure out the next step? CJ, you have the floor." VS's leader would have spoken here, but she had been missing the past few days.
CJ, the leader of RAT, rose as the old speaker sat. "We are on the verge of Ro-War 3. I've already made contacts on behalf of RAT as to what we'd do, and in any circumstance, all out war would break out in the clan world. There is no alternative, unless we control this and contain it between these few groups."
"It's like you to want to contain something like this" a man at the opposite end of the table rose. ColourTheory was looking face to face with CJ. "These clans want war, what right do we have to deny or control it?"
"Ah, the chair recognizes CT" Sonic rose for this statement before sitting back down.
"CT, if we do not control this, every group will be affected. That includes your New Frostarian Union."
"And we're willing to go to war. Clans don't declare war unless they want something to be done, we might as well all pick what side has the best cause and join in." CT argued.
"Colour, you realize there is enough power between the leaders in this very room to take out every clan completely? HQs and forts alike can be destroyed, all members would lack organization and whatever system our groups once had would lie in ruin."
"Giving us an opportunity to start anew. If a clan's cause for war is so good, the best way possible may be to have the entire system reset."
There was a prolonged silence. "Does any other leader wish to restart the entire clan world? Yea if you wish to, Nay if not"
Few leaders stood up, all with highly respectable and large clans. The rest spoke "Nay" and the council would not restart war groups that day.
"Let's stay on topic people, what of all of these wars going on? Are more to come?" Sonic asked in an attempt to stick with the task at hand.
Glaring eyes darted around the room. One man stood up. "What if these wars joined into one?" it had been John, of JC. "What if VAK and TGI, and RIC and BWE picked another to ally with them for the war, and it'd expand into a larger one? We'd ban nuclear weapons as to not ruin the clan world. Besides that, invasion after invasion would take it's toll but it's better than having a completely spread out batch of wars."
Vaktus stood up. "VAK will not join in alliance with neither RIC and BWE, I can tell you that much."
TheCaptain97 stood, "Just why not? What's wrong with RIC?"
"Everything" muttered half the room. TheCaptain narrowed his eyebrows, but sat back down.
"VAK has it's own plans for war, and it will stay at that" he announced. "We cannot serve anymore purpose to this discussion of clans. Frankly, this whole conversation is quite boring. I'd have places I'd rather be." With that, the Vaktovian leader pushed his chair in and walked out the door.
The room sat in silence. "Maybe we should reconvene later in the day." Sonic suggested. "All in favor of recess?" The room filled in a simultaneous Yea, dismissing themselves back to their bases.
Chapter 3- The Chosen One
He had, sadly, adapted to the burning hot environment pretty quickly. Kohl had to, or else he'd be too distracted by it to be whisked off of his feet and dragged onto a cliff. Prepared to fight, Kohl struggled as he was carried.
Atop the ragged cliff, he overlooked the entire underground world. On the ground, many other people who had been banned were seen.
"I should make this place a thumbnail for one of my zombie games..." Jared thought to himself.
Kohl turned to the people who carried him up. "Where am I?"
One stood forward from the half dozen beside him. "You, Kohl, are in BanLand."
Kohl flushed. BanLand? How could he be there? He hadn't remembered doing anything wrong?
"Is this like a coma, or permanent BanLand for me?" he asked, looking for a way out.
"We're afraid to say you won't be coming out of it. You're stuck here in BanLand, with all of us."
"No, no, this must be a dream. There's no way I'm in BanLand-"
He was interrupted, "You're in BanLand and you're here to stay. That much is done. What we've yet to explain is, you are the one who is to save us."
"Save you? From what?"
"I can explain later, Kohl. For now, wave to your people. You'll be leading them soon enough."
Kohl looked off of the cliff. He couldn't make out any specific faces in this crowd of thousands. Waving, the crowd roared with delight, showing their appreciation for him.
"A great war is coming on the surface, Kohl. A war whose toll will be too great for BanLand," the man whispered to him.
He continued waving to those he'd lead, though he hadn't a clue how he'd lead them. He hoped they couldn't see how frightened and confused he was.
Chapter 4- Hail Vaktovia
Vaktus left the meeting just before everyone else had. He piloted his personal chopper back to his base where he'd inform his HRs of how the meeting had gone. Just as he expected, he'd tell them how useless it had been. But first, he had an unrecorded stop to make.
He flew his helicopter over the ocean and set it on autopilot. It flew straight out, mile after mile over the ocean. He kicked himself back and read a magazine. Before he noticed it, two parallel tidal waves had engulfed the enclosed helicopter and sucked him undersea.
Only, it wasn't undersea. A gap between BanLand and the surface world had been created. He kept falling, still reading his magazine, until he slowly landed on a platform made just for him.
He stepped out of his vehicle, not greeted by the person who was supposed to rendezvous him. Likewise, he expected that, and made his way to the naturally formed room he had used as a meeting room so many times before.
Inside, notaguestimagirl was waiting for him. Ima, as he called her, leader of Vortex Security, was prepared for his arrival.
Vaktus threw his magazine on the table. "According to Forbes, Vakdonalds is doing pretty well." he smirked under his mask.
"That's good, but how's the clan world?"
"Ro-War 3 is ready to break out." Vaktus replied. "They were looking for you today at the meeting. Nobody knows you got yourself put into a coma to be temporarily banned and scout out any underground rebellion. Have you spotted one?"
"Nothing is fully formed, you'd be glad to here," she stated, "Although there is word of a possible rebellion. You see, Kohl, is supposed to save them."
"Kohl? They have Kohl on their side?"
"He doesn't even know what he's doing. He's no threat to us."
"No, of course he's not a threat to us. Either way, I want you to send me information on him as it comes to you."
"Yes, Vaktus."
"There's no way he could escape BanLand without my portal, which I gave to you. You won't let them have it, so we'll be fine." he explained, more to comfort himself. "What am I worried about? He won't be able to stop us."
"No, but he may give them the spirit to."
Vaktus grew angry. "They cannot stop us, nobody can. They are reconvening in the meeting tomorrow night. By then, I'll have sent my soldiers to invade. The clan leaders will die and I'll be the last successful one to reclaim their groups. If they fail I am prepared to crash a bombing plane into the building, where I'll die and meet you in BanLand. We'll leave here, destroy the portal, and take over the remains of the dead leader's groups. What, then, can Kohl do to stop us?"
Ima shrugged. "Not sure. I'll be prepared down here for tomorrow night. You get some rest. You're tired, and tomorrow night's a big deal."
He grinned, going back to his helicopter. Ima pulled the lever to open the small portion of the rock-made ceiling, letting his helicopter out and back into the ocean.
She wondered if he said that if the invasion worked if he'd still rule with her. She shook those thoughts off, being sure he did.
Chapter 5- Kohl's Catastrophe
"Sir! We have news!" a man came running over to the BanLand council. They had invited Kohl to join them with their plans for war.
"What is it?" the councilman who had initially told Kohl of Ro-War 3 asked.
"It's...it's Vaktus" he said panting. The councils eyes widened.
"What of him?"
"He's planning to...to...to kill all clan leaders" he muttered, leaning on the rocky wall.
"What? Where did you hear that?"
"Informants spied on his and VS's leader's conversation. They're going to kill the leaders and take over the remains of all clans."
"See, Kohl," the councilman stated, "Ro-War 3 hasn't even begun and the fate of the clan world is in your hands."
"How?" Kohl asked. "I don't see how ANY of this points to me."
"You're a scripter. We need your powers."
"What can I do?" Kohl asked.
The councilman looked around the room, receiving nods of conformation. "Here's what we're going to do..."
Chapter 6- I'm Just Going To Say This 1x
A secluded area of BanLand had been reserved for him. Kohl was to be sent there alone, as nobody was allowed in.
Legend has it, this person has so much incomprehensible power, that whenever somebody disturbed him he would turn them into an everlasting and burning fire, hence all the flames around BanLand.
Yet, Kohl was told to venture there anyways. It grew darker as he grew nearer. A single fire illuminated a figure that caused Kohl to stop dead in his tracks.
"Who are you" the man asked.
"I am Kohl. I have come to speak with you."
"Kohl?" the man replied. "I never thought I'd add you to my collection of flames." The figure turned around and snapped his fingers. Kohl's entire body was suddenly engulfed in flames. The mysterious man smiled, but much to his surprised, the fire soon died down. "What? That's impossible!" He hadn't taken the time to notice a small, blue glow coming from Kohl's body. "You come with a forcefield."
"And you come prepared with fire. I just need to speak with you."
"Well, you found my lair." he said. He dropped his cloak, revealing his face. It was none other than the famous hacker, 1x1x1x1.
"We need your help, 1x1. The clan world is in trouble."
"Good. I never cared for them. Nor do I care for anyone else in BanLand."
"You don't understand. The entire clan world may very well die out."
"How does that effect me?" 1x1 asked.
"Don't you see? The entire clan world will be forced into BanLand. Many more people will disturb you. At least on the surface, they cannot annoy you."
1x1 thought for a moment. "What is it that I'd have to do?"
"We have word that Ima has a portal to the surface world. I just need you to hack into it and get everyone in BanLand there. Can you do it?"
1x1 closed his eyes to think. He reopened them, and replied, "It will be done."
And the next night, the entire population of BanLand would be ready for war.
Chapter 7- Breaking and Entering
Kohl stood atop the cliff where he waved to his army below the day before. Now they were clothed in armor, with swords and guns in their hands.
"Tonight," Kohl announced, "We will fight for our lives. If you survive, you'll be on the surface world permanently. If not, you would have used your second life honorably, and will remain here, in a more empty BanLand.
"1x1 has rerouted a portal to open around the entrance of the clan leader's meeting. There, an army of Vaktovians will be waiting for us. We will fight them off to protect these clan leaders."
A single voice in the audience interrupted. "I represent The Grand Imperium," a man name Tainted said. "Tober would have came here, though he has to go to that meeting. We've come to join forces with the army of BanLand. The majority of TGI is here as well."
Kohl nodded. "1x1 has the portal ready. Are you all ready to fight?" a loud, blood thirsty roar filled the crowd. "We've all been apart of some clan or another. Tonight we fight to protect those in the groups we once cared about! We stand for the freedom between clans, we will not let Vaktus rule the clan world!" the cheering grew louder. It was almost as if the BanLand Army had become a clan of it's own. A few councilmen discussed this that very morning, though they couldn't think of it at a time like this.
The bodies of those in the audience, including Kohl's, started to glow. They slowly dissolved into pixels and appeared outside of Ima's meeting room where the portal's lever was. 1x1 had played his part.
Kohl and a few TGI members rushed into the room. The TGI members held down Ima, ambushed and confused. Kohl hit the lever, opening the portal which sucked the BanLand Army into re-existence.
Attempting to release the lever, Kohl noticed he couldn't let go. Ima smiled.
"Don't you know why you're the chosen one? Only your will power was strong enough to pull that lever to allow such a large army inside." Ima laughed. The TGI members that held down Ima shoved her a bit. "If you let go, the portal will close, and no other TGI member here would be able to open it. Only Vaktus and I had the strength to open it, which is why we feared your arrival so greatly. You'll be stuck holding that lever for another 20 minutes so your strength in will power will fully absorb into the lever, and even then you won't be able to get in."
"That makes no damn sense" Kohl replied. "What a convenient thing to not let me leave..."
Kohl cursed himself, his arm starting to ache. Looks like he'd be stuck there another 20 minutes.
Chapter 8- Ambush
The army of BanLand appeared at the building as the Vaktovian army showed up. Confused by this, the Vaktovians hesitated approach, but those who kept marching inspired the others to join them.
The BanLand army charged towards the Vaktovian army, instantly causing major bloodshed. Swords clashed, shots fired.
Inside of the meeting room, the noise of this battle was recognized instantaneously. After taking note of Vaktus's absence, they came to a conclusion that he had something to do with it.
"Listen, we can evacuate out the back door" Sonic stated. "We'll come back when this whole battle is over."
"No!" Tober shouted. "The regulations say that in the case that this ever happened there's to be a lockdown and nobody leaves!"
"The safest thing to do now is sneak out the back and survive" Sonic replied.
"You're all supposed to stay here!" Tober cried out.
"We're leaving and that's final" Sonic demanded, a bit confused as Tober's dedication to this room.
"No, we're staying here!" Tober pulled out a rifle. "Nobody's leaving this room or they get shot!"
"What? What are you doing Tober?" Brian of USSF asked.
"Ugh, I might as well explain all of this." Tober stated, still tense and ready to shoot. "VAK and TGI were never really at war."
"What? Of course they were" John replied, confused.
"No, no we were not. At least, C&G thought we were and the rest of the clan world had. Our soldiers played their parts nicely, I suppose. This whole thing was a cover up. No war between TGI and VAK ever happened. Vaktus and I...we had a plan." The room grew silent, though the confused looks on all of their faces spoke for them. "We were to initiate such a large war that Ro-War 3 would be supposedly ready to break out. You group leaders would call a meeting, and we'd kill you all. VAK's army is outside right now, with some casualties I suppose. After you'd die, him and I would be the only group leaders left, and the most powerful either way, so we'd take over all of your groups. The world of clans would belong to us, just for initiating a war that never existed!"
Silence flooded the room. Startled looks grew on all of their faces, looking around the room for an answer about what to do.
DrRoblox from TRA rose. "So either we wait here for that army to kill us, or you shoot us?" he asked. Tober nodded. "I'd rather die not waiting to be murdered."
"Don't make me do it, Dr, you know I will"
Dr rose from the table, attempting to leave the room.
"NO!" Tober shouted, sending a bullet right into Dr's leg. He cried out in pain, figuring his death wouldn't allow him to speak. He hadn't a clue Tober would only paralyze him. "SIT BACK DOWN!" Tober demanded. It was out of his character to act so wild, though the stress of this war must have been enough to get him emotional and the fact their plan could be ruined worried him.
Back outside, the BanLand forces had almost defeated the entire population of the Vaktovian Empire, sending them to BanLand to take their place. Out of nowhere, a shout from the back of the BanLand Army cried out, "NOW!"
It had been the TGI representative. TGI's Army had joined the BanLand Army to ambush them from the back, for their leader Tober and their plan.
The BanLand Army was surrounded from all sides now. Their numbers were shrinking, being shot in the front and stabbed in the back.
Their numbers were falling. Time for the clan leaders was running out.
Chapter 9- Miscommunication
The shrinking of the BanLand Army hadn't happened before Vaktus got word of VAK's army losing. He strapped himself into his fighter and prepared to crash into the leader's meeting.
Down in BanLand, Kohl's time was almost up. He'd be able to let go any minute now. His hopeful thoughts had been interrupted by Ima.
"Look on the table..." she said out of nowhere. "Vaktus had installed a camera, pointing at the meeting center so he could record the invasion. It looks as if your war efforts have failed you."
A TGI member grabbed hold of the tablet, courtesy of Vaktus, and looked down at the war. The TGI members had attacked and were lessening the number of BanLand fighters there had been. The gueards let go of Ima, seeing that TGI had already played their part.
"What's going on?" Kohl asked.
"TGI and VAK were actually in an alliance to start this war and dominate the groups." a TGI guard explained much quicker than Tober ever would.
"No..." Ima interrupted. "Vaktus and I made an alliance to rule the clan world."
"Tober and Vaktus had prepared this all and spoke of it months ago." the two argued of who would rule the world with Vaktus.
Meanwhile, on the surface. Vaktus's target lock had been acting up. His plane went downhill, but 100 feet before the meeting center.
He was aiming right for the battle!
Chapter 10- Hacker, or Hero?
Remembering his scripting days, Kohl spawned individual jail cells around the TGI guards and Ima. His time was almost up. Once he let go he could interrogate them easier.
1x1 appeared in the room in a flash of light, ready to beat up some TGI guards.
"1x1? How'd you get here?"
"I hacked into the tablet-camera and saw TGI betray the BanLand Army. I figured they were holding you in here so I came to help you so you could get to the meeting center."
Kohl's hands finally broke free. "Only people with strong wills or whatever could hold this down."
1x1 stared at the lever, and suddenly it was pushed back down.
"Oh I forgot. You could do whatever you want."
Leaving Ima and the guards behind, Kohl and 1x1 ran out to the portal area.
"Wait, Kohl!" 1x1 shouted. "Not yet" He picked up the tablet and watched it with Kohl. Within a few seconds they were able to see Vaktus's ship crash down on the armies, leaving the building nearby nearly unharmed. It didn't look like anyone had survived the crash. "Okay, now"
The two ran to the portal in the ceiling, which sucked them up. They arrived in a cloud of smoke, though 1x1 was able to create a flame and guide them through it. Arriving at the meeting center, Kohl kicked the door down and saw Tober with the rifle.
"Don't move Kohl!" he shouted. 1x1 was behind the door in the hallway, watching through the little window. "I'll shoot you!"
"It's over, Tober. The VAK and TGI armies are dead. Vaktus is in BanLand now. There's no more battle."
"No!" Tober shouted, "No that's not true!"
"It is. Now, unless you want to go to BanLand, I suggest you put down that gun and let these group leaders trial you with their groups."
Tober was staring into space. His sanity levels had been dropping ever since his plan started being defeated.
"Never!" he shot his gun. The clan leaders couldn't bear to see Kohl die, turning their heads away.
There was no impact sound. There was no cry of pain from Kohl. Only the sound of a bullet hitting the floor.
For those watching, the bullet stopped in midair, then dropped to the ground.
Tober, enraged, began firing rapidly, all around the room, but much to his surprise the bullets would freeze a few inches or a foot or so after they left his gun. Once his clip ran out, they dropped to the floor.
"It's over, Tober" Kohl said, mentally praising 1x1 for his assistance.
Suddenly, 1x1 was thrown through the door. Vaktus entered behind him with a time bomb from his ship that he adjusted.
"It's not over until I say it's over, Kohl." Vaktus stated. "From the beginning you were out to foil my plan. I didn't think you could, and you almost did. But now I'll be able to end all of us, sending us to BanLand, where I'll be able to leave and dominate the clan world!"
"How do you think we got here, Vaktus? We have control over the portal. Not you, not anymore." Kohl argued.
"You mean 'us' right?" Tober asked, disregarding Kohl's argument.
"Of course not you fool!" Vaktus shouted, "You were just a pawn, or a bishop rather for me to use your pawns. You would've stayed in BanLand, as would Ima! I'd rule the clan world, not with you or alongside anybody else.
"And I could have, too. If Kohl hadn't ruined my plan, with the help of this hacker. But it's not too late. Within a few seconds, this bomb will detonate. Even if I do not return from BanLand, the state of the clan world will be in such chaos that the VAK HR's I asked to stay behind from this battle will take charge! Vaktovia will rise and the clan world will be absorbed into us!" the bomb was ticking. There was just seconds left.
1x1 lied on the floor, pretending to be knocked out, but had been counting down the "tic....tic...tic" noise since there was one minute left. Now there was just seconds. He counted, 10...9...8...he thought of a way to counter it, 4...3...2...he prepared for the final tic and the following explosion.
Vaktus was the first to be engulfed with flames, and 1x1, being nearest to him and on the ground, sent the fire right back up, imploding around Vaktus.
He stood up and caught the flame, claiming it as his.
Chapter 11- It's Been Fun
With the armies of VAK, TGI, and BanLand sent back to BanLand, the clan world was at peace, though besides the leaders the clan world hadn't been shaken. VAK and TGI were suddenly gone from any C&G discussions, the war just vanishing along with the contents of their groups. 1x1 and Kohl found a way to allow the BanLand Army to go back to the surface world, and serve as a Ro-War prevention army, listening out for and watching for signs on anything that could lead to a chaotic Ro-War.
Kohl and 1x1 continued to rule BanLand, though as the soldiers of TGI and VAK were it's only members for a while, they were able to relax as TGI and VAK wouldn't listen to them anyways.
Vaktus's flame was on the cliff, further illuminating BanLand.
It went down in history, quoted from the Clanadian Encyclopedia, or the Clan's Encyclopedia:
"Ro-War 3 was the last Ro-War to have never been thought. Thanks to the efforts of the BanLand leaders, Kohl and 1x1, Vaktus was stopped, and the armies of TGI and VAK were evaporated at the initiation of Ro-War 3. The defeat of these two clans, and Vaktus in particular, allowed the survival of clan leaders, and the freedom of independent clans from the mighty grasp of Vaktus. The BanLand Army, formed after the prevention of Ro-War 3, is the reason there hasn't been a Ro-War to date." ~Clanadian Encyclopedia, Year: Infinity and Two
"The Clanadian Empire lead the Clan world through the Infinitive Centuries, being the largest and fairest power, who never experienced war first hand. Playing world-police, or as we call it, playing America, they went into unfair and corrupt groups to reorganize the system and allow the clan world to further prosper..." |
