lets say you place a brick with a point light in and so you place it very height up and then have some bricks that cover it a little so istead it just go dirrect trought it so it will stop where a brick is blocking it
same with walls (my place on main) i have lights on wall under a bridge but yet it still go into the building side to it wich are pretty annoying
if you find some forrect pictures with trees and sun so that where the tree block the sun is what i mean |

Support. Also, bricks with reflectance should be able to reflect the light at the angle it's pointing.

| You can make the brightness higher and the distance lower. |

@Brunbase You don't judge someone by their looks.
Other than that, I like the OP's original idea. I hate it when the light goes through the walls. |

im talking about it not being blocked when a part is side to it
not about it being big or small... |

If I'm not mistaken, this issue has been worked on/will be worked on at some point. Light is let through parts currently because they didn't have a suitable workaround that wasn't resource intensive. If I'm also not mistaken, they talked vaguely about this at the latest BloxCon, in terms of updates coming soon.

| This feature is implemented. If you check out the properties of your lights, you'll see "Shadows" as a property. Check it, and your light will leave shadows / not shine through objects. |
