Recent AVERAGE Price. The word average, in the definition following, means an estimate of what is normal. The thing is, people think "average" is what matters. No, you will not buy RedSpyBot for 9000. You will buy it for 90000. Average isn't the actual worth of something. For example, 99-33=66. 100-30=70. 70 and 66 are close, but 66 is the real answer. Or if 10 people sell RSB for 10000, and 10 people sell it for 20000, the average is 15k. But if the next price on the market is 100k, it is worth 100k. If it's RAP hasn't raised, it's because of recent cheap sales, though if it jumps that high, it might take a while to raise, because of the way the ROBLOX RAP works. It should be what people are selling it for, showing how much people should lower or raise it to. Just to recap, RAP isn't an accurate source. It's showing what people have already sold it for, not what it will be sold for. *Braces for the Hater Nation's attack*

What I don't get is why you are subtracting numbers. The way you find the average of an item is you take the sum of each of them added up, then you divide by how many you counted. What i'm wondering is why you subtracted 99-33 and 100-30, because that doesn't add up to anything you were talking about earlier.

Good point, but I am just showing how an average works. I used subtraction because that's what came to mind first.

My bad that's estimation. I'm tired. But anyway, that is true. so say someone bought for 50, and another for 100. 50+100=150 divided by 2 equals 175. If more sales go on and it ends up as a lowest price of 1000 with a RAP of 500, it's worth 1000. 500 is what it was priced averagely before, not what it is now.

The subtraction doesn't even tie in at all with averages. The two equations aren't even close to being the same. You took 33% off of the first, then 30% off the second. If you were to take off 33% on both, it would be 99-33 is 66 and 100-33 is 66.67

Yes, but that goes up with the more it is sold. The reason why RAPs are so low, is because people trade items, not sell them.

True, meaning RAP shouldn't exist. It only brings down what you could be trading for. If so, I could trade my RedSpyBot for 2 Dominus Vespertillios.

You don't get it. RAP is from actually selling the item for Robux. People don't do that anymore because there is a market fee. It's so much easier to trade said items for other items. By the way, Vesp is 60-70k. : ^)

TLDR; He wants to trade his 90k item for two 60k-70k items, and is making a big fuss about it.

No, I get it. I'm using what you're saying to tell you what you are saying by saying that (lolwut). RAP is low because nobody buys/sells. RAP should be gone. It ruins an items worth.

It still shows the average of what it was sold for recently, but what other way is there to measure an item by? There's some people who don't LMaD, and just want to sell their items, without trading to get some money. How do they find out how much to sell it for? They look at the average.
