It means that something is better then it. such as:
table.len({}) is depracated since #{} exists, so table.len() is un-needed |

Deprecation, as defined by Wikipedia:
Deprecation is a status applied to a computer software feature, characteristic, or practice indicating it should be avoided, typically because of it being superseded. The term is also sometimes used for a feature, design, or practice that is permitted but no longer recommended in other areas, such as hardware design or compliance to building codes. |

In other words, deprecated methods are methods that either don't work properly anymore, or there are other methods that do a better job than it/replace it.
Deprecated methods usually still 'work' in the sense that you won't get errors, but it is recommended to not use them. |

| Motor6D's are weird because they are deprecated, yet the Character object still uses them...you'd have to message the administrators to figure out their reasoning on that. |
