1. Use Mouselock
2. Rely on sword lag to gain kills.
You can't become better in SFing, since it's terrible. |

You dont need to use mouselock, I learned without mouse lock and people still cant hit my back because I spin around a lot.
But you want to lunge into your opponent, that way you sword hits him first
and avoid his sword. |

| I just use the WASD keys when in third-person view and spin around when attacked. I'm not brilliant at SF'ing but I'm able to get more KO's than WO's. |

I use 3rd person view, but you obviously couldn't tell from my sarcastic remark.
SFing is not that good, it's only for entertainment.
Mostly all the kills acquired are cheap due to the fact MLing is completely rigged and sword lag occurs. |

Use one of 2 things (or both)
1. Mouselock 3rd person 2. Zoom in.
And just practice, I use both depending on the opponent. |

Ignore all the "don't zoom in or mouselock" replies. Yes, it's considered nooby, but can be effective at times. I personally use ML and classic, and that is highly effective if done right. Don't zoom in though; it doesn't help at all, and is just a stupid way to sword fight altogether.
Mouselock is good when used for defensive play, and classic can be used for offensive play. Though most pros will frown upon using both ML and classic, it is rather helpful.
Also, don't go kamikaze, and just directly run into people. Be strategic, and wait for a chance to hit your opponent while taking as little damage possible.
Use your surroundings to your advantage. If there are stairs nearby, use them to gain an advantage. If you attack someone from the bottom of the stairs while they're on the top of the stairs, it will be harder for him/her to hit you from your position. This applies to all types of surroundings such as walls, barricades, ladders, and other obstacles.
If you're going to sword fight, I'd suggest classic sword fighting, not SFT. Games with only classic linked swords are most likely the best for practice, and recreational sword fighting.
I used to be a very good sword fighter, but I lost interest, and no longer as good as I used to be. Also, sorry for the long reply. |
