permadeath clans;

permadeath system built into a clans base
(means raiders, allies, and clan members only get one life, FOREVER)
lax permadeath system
(1 life per week, etc)
clan lore/rules dictating only 1 life is allowed

etc

There aren't any clans like that, I think.

I've been thinking of implementing that though, except its only once a raid/10 minutes.

I get what you're thinking like our lives how we only have one life. But the enviorment in a fort is too hostile for you to live for only one life. But actually there is one fort that I know of that does kind of do a type of perma death. I can't remember the name of it but once the raiders capture the terminal and die they have to wait for the groups team to capture the terminal for them to come back to life.

none of the benefits I can see from the system of permadeath clans applies to one per raid/10 mins

of course, i have an extreme view
permadeath for everyone; even up to the leader of the clan
pro;
*respect for people who save your life
*more realistic progression of power (IE, HRs that go rogue can actually kill the leader and put their own in place)
*medics are useful yay
*interesting scripting
*interesting base balancing
*interesting raiding (IE no cannon fodder)
*forces the defenders to be skilled, or die

con;
*would grow and die very quickly due to members dying
*nubs can assassinate leaders
*etc

sounds interesting, yes.

but then you'll need to make it so the guns will be realistic in some, shape or form if you want it to work that way.

Making a coverbased/stealthbased map is a better alternative.

Especially because it takes actual timing and skills to pull off a proper stealth kill.

Ah, my friend, but no.

Dynamic lighting allows your player to conceal himself in the dark, too.

Being cover based would simply mean scattering clutter that you can hide behind all over the map.

Hits to body parts do something

legs:slower movement and lower jump hight
arms: less accuracy, slower reloading
chest: 2 hit kill, due to vitals being damaged
head: one hit kill.
