| What kind of shotgun is it? My Granddad owns a Double Barrel 12 Gauge, he's part deaf because he doesn't wear ear muffs when he shoots. |

| Why... why would you start with a 12 gauge? Most people have problems starting at the 20 gauge. |

Yep. If you can afford it, start with an AA-12. The recoil on those is so little, there's a video of someone shooting one with one hand.
if not, go with smaller calibers like .22 or 9mm. |

Even still, a 12 Gauge is difficult to control the recoil unless you had a good shotgun that controls recoil (AA-12 :3 ) Yeah, AA-12 is a god. The guy in the video left it in water for 10 minutes, came back and shot it immediately without faults, shot down a door, duel wielded, everything. |
