tl;dr: what keeps you coming to roblox?
...
is it the hats? earning virtual money to get the virtual items? building and scripting a game? talking with friends?
the thing is, most friendships made on here end up on other websites. friends you make here? you will probably talk to them on steam later on. i don't know what it's like to have friends...
this is just my personal perception, but the virtual item market is what people here seem to talk about the most. virtual items are big in tf2 as well. hey, how about those new fedoras? the iron bucket? to die for! i didn't get the shiny new limited? bye guys.
for some users, building and scripting clearly supplement the virtual item aspect. want to get rich quick? create misleading thumbnails and scam users of their time to visit what is advertised as the coolest game ever! (run on sentence!) of course, there are still passionate people surrounding building and scripting scene. otherwise, we wouldn't have ebr and ebr hopefuls, and the scripter forum wouldn't be active.
so, why does roblox have a magnetic pull on its users? a psychological study on how users feel when they're on roblox would be neat, but it will never happen. |

It is your account. You are afraid to loose it when you leave roblox. |

| oh! i forgot about playing the games that other people make. for some folks, roblox can be a way to unwind. tough day at school? take the load off your shoulders and stab people in sword fight on the heights iv. if you're losing, it could make you angrier, though! |

@am4uryxp
so, you're saying that once you've been here too long, the only thing to do is to keep playing? |

| What attracts me to ROBLOX is the game engine. I've always wanted to make my own games since I was kid, around 5, playing Megaman and wondering "oh, it'd be cool to make your own game !" ROBLOX made me want to really do something, so I decided to learn scripting (I usually NEVER want to learn much of any language, but RBLX Lua attracted me.) and building. And the friends, friends like Crazyblox, Ojninja, Old and many, many more get me back here. I love being supported by people because they think my creations are good and I should keep on going. It cheers me up a lot. |

good response! the feeling of making something out of almost nothing is always gratifying. being able to earn money, even though it is virtual, is a good way to encourage users to try their best at building something amazing.
i feel that the starting purpose of robux was a reward for making great things, but model makers still don't earn anything yet, and the creation of "robux buying" has muddied up my guess for robux's reason for existing. |

i have forgotten about mentioning the forums. in some sick way, i kind of "troll" the forums on my main, just to poke and prod for reactions. i've never outright flamed, but i still feel bad every time i do it, but you folks here are a lively bunch.
that's a compliment! :) |

Yeah What attracts me to this game (to be specific) is building games, I like how in the game players are allowed to make what they want. I used to be crazed with minecraft but after I found studios on my computer everything changed, I started building after I knew how to use the tools. At first I used free models then about 3 month later I started using basic objects to build maps, building, etc. Another thing that draws me to the game is the community. ROBLOX's community is diverse some people live in the US or in the UK some are gamers some are builders. |

| Maybe it's the fact that you can be anyone you want, and you can travel to virtually anywhere. If the place you want to travel to is missing, you can build it! |
