Hi, guys. So, I'm new building computers/desktops. Can anyone help me? What graphics card should i buy? Instead of Graphics card, what should I buy more? Well, basically I was thinking to buy a Alienware desktop. I wan't to build a Gaming Desktop/PC.
Anyone have opinions? ty <3 |

If you plan on just gaming: what coolmanownz said If you plan on streaming/recording A LOT: AMD FX-8350 plus 650 TI 2-way, or a 7970 HD Radeon |

you will need two of the graphics cards that i said though
if you are on the fence about that you can look at what AMD has. |

two graphics cards setup
the 650 ti boost on itself is meant for entry level 1080p gaming but once you run two in SLI it supersedes the power of an single HD 7970, in most cases anyway. |

make sure you get a case with good airflow, i dont really care for looks, LEDs, or style.
the NZXT Source series are some good cases that arent that expensive. |

I think having SLI/Crossfire increases the power draw, though
and for cases I recall some of the Raidmax/Xion/Xigmatek cases are pretty good |

lots of ventilation spots, dust filters, and lots of spots to put fans.
also, the bigger the fan spots, the better. |

"Instead of Graphics card, what should I buy more?" You should also include a worthy power source that will run your computer. Most gaming computers have a power draw of around 400-600 Watts. You should also have a minimum of 8GB of RAM, preferably DDR3-1600. If you plan on streaming/recording, it may be good to up that to 12. If you plan to host servers and such, 16GB of DDR3-1866 would be recommended. Also, you should have an HDD of at least 2TBs, and maybe a 200-400GB backup drive. (Coolmanownz said something about LEDs, some fans you can order with your PC have LEDs built on them) |
