I have created a great zombie. Done loads of building and scripting for it. Added clothes, but when I try to add a hat I com e across a problem. When adding most hats (smaller ones, gnome hat etc. works) the hat is positioned in the zombies head. When resizing or moving the hat to be on top of the NPCs head it simply falls though and sits in the head and brakes the zombie.
Someone suggested using offsetting the mesh but Roblox has not implemented that yet. Cframing is another route and I got CMDUtl but I can't work out how to offset the mesh using it. If anyone can tell me how or has another solution I would be very glad to hear it. |

Simply unanchor it, then resize it at will in edit mode. Then run this
weld = Instance.new("Weld", workspace.MODELNAME.Head) weld.Part0 = workspace.MODELNAME.Head weld.Part1 = workspace["HATNAME"] weld.C0 = weld.C0 * CFrame.new(0, .2, 0) --manipulate the .2 to make it higher or lower.

When you say 'run it' do you mean right it on a notepad and then execute script it?
Plus do Part0 and Part1 need changing or not? |

Run it in command bar in studio, I thought you builders were logical qq.
Yes, replace the CAPSCHARACTERS into your part and models name |

| Well I tried what you suggest, it did not work, so I played around with it for a little while before that building logic kicked in. I fixed it by moving the hat to a different part of the zombie model and used a inlet surface. Thanks for your help anyway, good to see people willing to help. |

But alas my way produces a 2nd problem. when a zombie touches another they get each others hats which turn into head holders.
Back to your way and trying to get it to work. If this is of any help this is the way the zombie arranged.
Chef Zombie -Gnome1 -- Handle ---Mesh
P.S Gnome1 is the name of the hat but not a gnome hat but a chefs hat. |
