A scientific theory is an idea that explains and accounts for all of the current evidence. Such as, the Atomic Theory explains why reactions happen the way they do. We can't actually see an atom, nor can we see any of its particles.
String "Theory" is not a scientific theory. String "Theory" has no observable evidence for its basis. It's simply a hypothesis.
A scientific hypothesis is a question or statement intended to be the basis of further research. Until that research proves conclusive, then we cannot assume the hypothesis is true.
"Theory" in science is as close to "fact" as you can get. String "Theory" is simply an idea. There's no basis of evidence for it, at least not yet. |
