| Sure, it has some flaws, but it also has one of the best soundtracks of a Sonic game, it integrated a new gameplay mechanic, a great story, good combat, etc... |

I played it on the Wii.
It was a little boring, and somewhat repetitive.

It was different, people hate when devs try to make the series different.

| @Awsum, your opinion, I found Sonic: Unleashed to be very fun and varied. |

i liked Sonic Unleashed a whole lot as well, but it just didn't really feel like a Sonic game.
there were way too many werehog levels. |

Yeah, but my opinion still counts.
I mean, all I really remember is running along these corridor-like paths with nice scenery (I remember being impressed with how the game looked, and yeah, the music's good too if I recall.) occasionally beating up some hoards of enemies. It's been a while, so I can't really describe exactly why I didn't like it, I just remember it not leaving an overall great impression on me.
I guess it was okay.

The exact same reason Metroid: Other M got hate. It tried something different. |

I found that the daytime levels were actually the most engaging, and also involve what Sonic is most known for: Speed. Yet they were the rarest of the bunch in the game.
I've hardly played any Sonic games, so my opinion is not based in some bias for being a fan of Sonic because I could hardly call myself that, as I've played like two at most, and neither to completion.

| the sonic franchise honestly needs to accept death, at the most they could release a downloadable game every now and then |

that's because the wii/ps2 version is terrible compared to the ps3/x360 one |

The Wii and PS2 were considered by fans to be better.
I really like how they tried something different. I really like the change of story, and some of the gameplay parts. Day was just absoutely great, and shows what Sonic Team can do. Werehog stages were fun at first, but they can be repetitive. Overall it is a good game, but at parts it seems too repetitive and more of a beat em up.
Also I enjoyed Other M. The story though, was gosh awful. |

"The Wii and PS2 were considered by fans to be better" another reason of why most of the sonic fanbase is horrible seriously, how could they prefer that terribly inferior version? |

well, the SA games' stories were alright, but other than that the story's laughable
>seriously, how could they prefer that terribly inferior version?

| I've played the PS2 and PS3 version and I must say, I much preferred the PS3 version, it had better gameplay and a much better atmosphere. |

| I didn't mind the game, I liked both the daytime and nighttime levels. Whenever I beaten a werehog level though, my arms were nearly dead after it. I played the wii version. |
