They probably are, especially if Obama follows through with his plans.

Lets look at it this way.
America and the UK made the mistake of bombing Iraq and killing innocent people with no proof that there where any nuclear weapons. In this case the US have proof that Assad is using chemical weapons but, in every war innocent people die. The only way to stop violence would be to find a way for an official who is higher than Assad to charge him for using the weapons and killing over 1,000 people. This way a new leader could be chosen, no more people would be killed and Assad could be stopped. |

Legal action needs to happen. People have been killed in a sick plot to prove nothing. War means killing. The people of Syria have been put through enough. They've been driven out of their home town just so that they can escape the horror that their own leader has brought them. More and more people will die in the rage of battle. Legal action will prevent this. |

The only authority that is above a country is the UN, but the UN has pretty much no power whatsoever, the closest you could get to "legal action" is by having the US intervene, however, forth that would mean that USA would support the rebels, which have been taken over by islamic extremists, or attack both groups, targetting both groups against them and pretty much screwing Syria over after the US pulls back.
Simply put, Syria is screwed, the only thing a US intervention would do would be to save a few lives, which is uncertain considering that chaos will ensue when US pulls away. It'd be better to not intervene, it's a waste of money. |

| The US have not learned from Iraq at all. If they attack Assad's army will take action. Assad is a violent man: if he killed his own people what would he do to America? Violence always ends in violence. This is what happens when a country's leader steps out of line, all other countries get involved and before you know it we're all scared for our lives while a battle is fought between our nations. |

All his army's option would really be to somehow plan a air strike back at the U.S which would probably cause huge problems, Obama said he's not putting any military troops on the ground so there'd be no army for Syria to fight.

In a conventional war Assad would lose.
It's as simple as that.
In a partysan war however, the rebels will most likely come out victorious. |

The moment Assad finds out he'll send his air force out to stop anything from getting anywhere near Syria. No bomb will be dropped if America's planes are destroyed before they get to Syria. They'll have to go to the ground and fight maybe in a fortnight or a month after they've figured out their plan didn't work. |

I hope you realize the U.S doesn't have to use planes to launch a missile, it can come from a un manned launch station somewhere in the U.S

Seriously? USA doesn't have any competition when it comes to airforce.
Seriously, Syria's airforce would be very easily shattered. |

Syria isn't using chemical weapons. There is a lot of evidence that the "chemical weapons" Syria was using was either tear gas or used by the rebels.
And the Syrian army also shut down rebel tunnels that had chemical weapons
It also wouldn't make sense for Syria to use chemical weapons since they are winning against the rebels |

Gaseous weapons? This is higher than the limit Syria had already gone to. I've actually seen videos of the big plumes of smoke. |

Syria did not use chemical weapons against their own citizens. My proof is simple, straight-forward logic. Why would a 3rd world country, with limited military want to give the UN an excuse to invade their country? They'd have to be insane to do that. Do you believe the leader of a formidable country is insane? I don't. The only conclusion that I can draw is that it never happened.

| For once Russia's statement on the whole matter was smart. They said something to the effect of "What are your actions in Syria going to accomplish?" |
