| Save your money, take it from me. I used to want all of this stuff when I was younger but trust me--between your junky car breaking down, insurance, gas, and a girlfriend all of your funds from your fat, fat, minimum wage pay check will be gone. |

depends on where you're getting from if the razer's a refurbished one for half price on ebay, get it do NOT get the macbook pro it's average quality, due to the OS it lacks gaming capabilities which seems like what you're after, and way overpriced |

I'd pick the MB Pro over the razer because Mac OS X is just plain awesome.
It's got a more straightforward interface, has better multitasking capabilities, and most programs work with macs.
The MacBook Pro very good battery life, most likely better battery life than the razer, and it's very portable.
I'm on a MacBook Pro right now. It's EVEN FASTER than my windows desktop PC. This is a laptop lol. |

the operating system should take a backseat when you're paying $1200 or more for a computer with similar specifications to one that's $500 the macbook pro is a general ripoff, and if you want mac OS X, just load it onto the razer blade pro |

at least 90% of new games have Mac versions along with Windows.
Especially ones by Valve. They are porting older games to Mac and all newer games will be made for Mac. Also Minecraft runs on Mac, so does Roblox.
Spotlight works better than Windows' searching Launchpad is very useful to quickly launch a program. Mission Control makes multitasking much better on Macs :D The Dock is better than the Windows taskbar and lots and lots of other reasons
Also if you have iOS devices, all your things that sync to iCloud also will sync to your Mac |

again, it's a general ripoff the razer blade pro has much better specifications compared to the macbook pro, which is a normal laptop with $700 added to the original pricetag |

"just load it onto the razer blade pro"
You can't just simply *load* OS X to a Windows PC. It doesn't work that way.
You would have to make a hackintosh which evolves buying a Mac mini ($599) and registering your Razer to the Mac Mini's UDID (Unique Device Identifier)
It would cost about the same as buying a single MacBook Pro
This MacBook Pro is the cheapest one Apple sells, and it runs faster than my Windows Desktop, and it runs Minecraft full graphics at 90 FPS, ROBLOX max graphics at a full 60 FPS (ROBLOX limits the FPS to 60 for some reason) |

Mac OS X uses a variety of technologies to make it much more efficient than Windows could ever dream to be.
Quit crying masterx, Mac OS X works on the cheapest MacBook Pro as it would a $1000 Windows desktop, only the design of the MacBook Pro is amazing and considering the battery life is so much better than the Razer, you should definitely get the MacBook Pro |

does apple really do that? that's ridiculous i'd assume you could make an OS X boot disc by buying it, wiping windows partitions, and installing the boot disc
minecraft and ROBLOX speeds don't mean much, and anything over 60 FPS is pretty unnecessary the old dell desktop from 2006 i had ran minecraft at 40 FPS, and i got it off of ebay for $300 |

| Neither. If both are laptops, then they are considered worthless by me. Get a computer worth about $5,000 dollars, sell the graphics card inside and if you have enough money buy an EVGA Nvidia. |

| MacBooks are also useless and cannot even get to the level of gaming quality that windows can reach. |

@adamjo
that's an even worse idea why would you spend $5,000 on a computer when you can buy a refurbished desktop with excellent specifications on ebay for $600, and if you're a trusting kind of person, you can probably find the same model for $350 |

Hm, it appears the Skyrim developers were too lazy to compile it for Mac computers.
I know Macs come with a feature called Boot Camp which allows you to run a copy of Windows you have.
Battlefield 3 is the same way it appears |

| Why don't you custom make a computer? It is a lot cheaper to do and you can get better speed then if you got a pre-made one. |

@masterx "boot disk"
lol.
1. CDs are outdated 2. Old versions of Mac which has it on an installation disk still wouldn't work because the motherboards don't have a special chip which says that it is a Mac 3. New versions of Mac OS X don't have boot disks because updates come from the App Store now, and Macs have Mac OS X preloaded |

'too lazy' writing a game for two operating systems, especially if it's a triple-A sized game, isn't a matter of laziness it's a matter of spending a few months and a nice chunk of the game's budget rewriting large swathes of code to be compatible with OS X |

Building a laptop is difficult, the Razer is so overpriced considering it doesn't do as much as the MacBook Pro
Just because it's 1.05x faster doesn't make it better because it lacks so many features. One of them being a good battery. The other is that is runs windows. |

| Why not just get an Asus? A G75VW will run you 1,200, and should last you about 5-7 years with general comp maintenance, AND be able to run anything released for the next half a decade... |

| @masterx For most games, all you'd have to do is add a little bit of code to make it work with the Mac UI, and then compile it for OS X. |

@ryandolan
i don't see how that is an improvement but if installing OS X on a windows machine is such an expensive and bothersome process, 1. don't use OS X, as you need to buy a $1200 computer to do so 2. windows does everything OS X can 3. save money |
