This is just a possible system that we could use. Again it will be up to you, the people to decide if we use it or not. If this is not used, we will go ahead with the council system. However this system would take a while to get set up, but if implemented correctly would be the most advanced and realistic army system on ROBLOX. This would completely revolutionise our ranking system and effectively ranks would be reset for a period of time. However I believe the end product would be worth the short term pain of change. It would also enable a chance for us to bring in more new officers who have not been in JC before or left us temporarily, and give them more of a fair playing field.
We could keep track of all Army Units via google docs and teamspeak chats.
Emperor Historic leader and founder of John's Cobras, keeps the group safe from violent leadership changes and being shutdown by holding the group. Can replace people at the top of things are going wrong. Would come online every Friday to communicate with high command, be given reports on how the group is going and offer advice.
General of the Army Responsible for the Army. Holds all power to make decisions within the group, can replace any high rank, modify systems within the group and go to war/ make alliances with other groups. He is responsible for making sure all 3 Battalions are running smoothly. If one is failing, he must identify the problem and resolve it through communicating the issue and solution to the leader of the Batallion, or by replacing him. Runs all group diplomacy, plans for future development etc. May organize invasions a week in advance, alerting all Batallions so that they can be ready for combat.
Lieutenant General Responsible for the creation and maintenance of his/her Batallion. The Batallion compromises 3 Companies and the Lieutenant General appoints the leaders of these Companies. He must make sure all Companies are active, trained and ready for combat. If one Company is slacking behind, he must ensure they catch up with the others or replace the leader of the Company so that someone else may do a better job.
Colonel Responsible for the creation and maintenance of his/her Company. Each Company compromises three Platoons. The Colonel must ensure that each Platoon is active, combat ready and skilled. The Company must be ready for combat at all times and it is the Colonel's job to make sure this happens. The Colonel appoints Captains to run the 3 platoons that make up his Company.
Captain Responsible for the creation and maintenance of his/her Platoon. Each Platoon is made up of 2 Squads. The Captain is responsible for making sure his/her Squads are being run effectively and is in full command of their training. If both squads are being run well he may sit back a little bit and plan fun events etc. for the squad, however if a squad is struggling he may step in to help during training, and if needed replace the Squad Leader.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALL RANKS ABOVE THIS LINE ARE CO (COMMISSIONED OFFICER) RANKS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CO Ranks are designed for leaders. They all require mics and the ability to lead via mics on a daily basis via TS3. As a CO you will be placed in command of many troops, and they will heavily rely on you. It is a great responsibility. Only take up these positions if you are dedicated to the group and have faith in your abilities as a leader. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sergeant Major The most senior NCO rank. He/She is the assistant to a Lieutenant General and helps organize the Batallion. If the workload is too high for the Lieutenant General to manage him/herself, then he will delegate some of the work to his/her Sergeant Major to handle. If the Lieutenant General is away for a short period of time, his/her Sergeant Major shall temporarily take over the duties of the Lieutenant General.
Colour Sergeant Assistant to a Colonel, helps with running the Company. If the Colonel is away for a short period of time, his/her Colour Sergeant shall temporarily take over the duties of the Colonel.
Sergeant Whilst the Captain is in Command of both Squads in his Platoon, the Sergeant is in Command of his one squad and is ultimately responsible for the selection, training and activity of his squad. As such Sergeants should be veterans who know how to fight well, as they will be passing on their knowledge to their squad. The Sergeant will get to know his/her troops well, as squad size is relatively small at 8 soldiers per squad (including the sergeant).
Corporal The most Senior soldier in a squad. Helps the sergeant to organize and run the squad and leads the squad is the Sergeant is away.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RANKS ABOVE THIS LINE ARE NCO (NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER) RANKS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NCO Ranks are designed for those with some leadership ability, but who do not want the full responsibility of so many people relying on them. Those who work better helping instead of leading themselves (except for sergeants who require a huge amount of dedication and leadership ability). Dedication, loyalty, the ability to work hard and persistance are all vital skills required to become an NCO in John's Cobras. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ARMY 324 Soldiers, 120 NCOs, 40 COs = 484 Men. BATALLION 108 Soldiers, 40 NCOs, 13 COs = 161 Men. COMPANY 36 Soldiers, 13 NCOs, 4 COs = 53 Men. PLATOON 12 Soldiers, 4 NCOs, 1 CO = 17 Men. SQUAD 6 Soldiers, 2 NCOs = 8 Men.
As you can see, this is an ambitious plan and will take a week at least before we can see something resembling the above system. Those at the top will have huge responsibility. But if there is one thing I have learnt from this game - anything is possible.
There are 6 more ranks:
Staff Sergeant Responsible for carrying out Basic Training, during which Militia are trained in the basics of warfare and being part of John's Cobras, before they graduate and are assigned to a squad. During Battles they may choose to take their Trainees with them, forming a rogue squad, or they may attach themselves to another squad which needs another man. However they are not officially part of any squad.
Private First Class Cap of 3 PFCs per squad, it just shows they are veterans of the squad and dedicated, active members.
Private Regular Soldier of John's Cobras, people recieve this rank after being assigned to a squad.
Graduate Rank recieved after basic training. Graduates then either recieve invites to Squads or apply to Captains of Platoons for a place in one of their Squads.
Trainee Rank recieved upon signing up for Basic Training and turning up at the first training session.
Militia Joining rank.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BASIC TRAINING ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basic Training is a short, 3 day course held by Staff Sergeants. Staff Sergeants will be selected to cover all time zones. There will be enough Staff Sergeants for one Course to begin every day. Staff Sergeants shall have access to a google docs page where they will score Trainees.
The Course will be held over three consecutive days.
DAY 1 The Staff Sergeant Shouts one hour in advance before the Course starts, notifying any Militia to meet him at a training area of his choice to enroll in Basic Training. When the Course begins, he should give them a brief overview of the course - The first day shall mainly be talking, letting Militia know what they will be doing over the course, telling them that after successfully graduating they will be allowed to join Squads, answering any questions that they may have, telling them the time and place they should meet the next day, and finally telling them how to get teamspeak and walking them through the process if they have difficulties. The training ends when everyone that can, gets onto the JC teamspeak. If Militia claim that they can't get teamspeak for any reason, tell them this reason is false, they just need to keep trying or convince their parents it is fine - they don't have to talk but they won't be allowed to graduate until they get it. POINTS - Asking an intelligent question = 5 points - Getting onto teamspeak = 5 points - Remaining active (not AFK) for the whole talk = 10 points On a google docs, write down "[USERNAME]'s Basic Training, Day 1, [TIME], [DATE] Write down each of the trainee's names and promote them to the rank of Trainee within JC. Next to their name on the google doc, write down the amount of points they have and any comments you wish to add.
Day 2 Once you have them all gathered in game and on teamspeak (Although you do not need to use teamspeak for this, just get them on it so they become used to it). You may take them to any game you wish, to give a brief training in the use of guns, swords and basic obbies. Put them on different teams to challenge eachother for example in gunfighting switch half the Trainees to Team 1, half to Team 2, give them guns and let them fight, watch if they use any of the skills you have taught them. When you are satisfied with their progress, you may end the training. POINTS - Listening to your tips on the use of weapons/ how to tackle obbies - 5 points - Using the tips you have shown them - 5 points - Top 2 best KDs - 5 points - Passing the obby - 5 points Update the google doc with the new points and any extra comments.
Day 3 Gather them for a final time, ask them to stand on a stage or something similar and give a brief talk to the group about their aspirations in John's Cobras. Test them one on one, one at a time in gunfighting and swordfighting. Give them points on: How good the speech was - Give from 0 to 5 points. How good their combat skills were - Give from 0 to 10 points. Update the google doc with the new points.
If Trainees gain over 18 points, then congratulate and promote them to Graduate. Inform them of what to do next in John's Cobras - to apply to Captains and Sergeants to be assigned to Squads.
Finally, go to google docs and add at the bottom how many people Graduated from the course. If 2 or more people graduated from the course, add a link to a t-shirt for R$500. Every Friday pspjohn1 will credit that amount to your account for your hard work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only Staff Sergeants are allowed to promote to the rank of Graduate. NCOs will not have the ability to promote people, so Sergeants will need to ask Captains or Colonels to add people to their squad. People may only be added to squads from the rank of Graduate. Every Soldier must go through basic training, there can be no exception to this.
Apart from the usual and extra events (for example if a Captain thinks his Platoon needs more training, or should lead a raid he can organize that by himself outside and ontop of this schedule), there will be a standardized schedule.
MONDAY Squad Training, Sergeants muster their Squads and train as a squad. Whether that be normal training, a raid or anything else, the squad gathers together and works as a squad. The Captain should be online to moniter the activity of his squads, and to see if Sergeants are slacking off and need replacing. The Captain can also step in and lead the trainings himself if he thinks there is a lack of skill which needs fixing. This is quite a small training of roughly 8 people and so this is the best one to work on personal skills, bringing up personal abilities to bring up the total ability of the squad.
TUESDAY Platoon Training, Captains get their Squads together and train as a larger force, the squads work together as a platoon and may focus on more tactical training and go on a raid.
WEDNESDAY Company Training, the Colonel gets his 3 Platoons Together and tests the Company's capabilities. Companies take up more than one server and so everything is coordinated via teamspeak. The capabilities of a company may be tested by hitting multiple enemy servers at once. The Colonel is less engaged in the combat itself, and more involved in organizing the combat of the 3 Platoons under him, keeping a squad in reserve and sending it where it is needed etc.
THURSDAY Day off. A casual day for any normal events in John's Cobras, or if a CO decides his unit needs extra training, he can fit it into this day.
FRIDAY Batallion Training, the Lieutenant General inspects the activity of his Batallion via teamspeak. With a Batallion at full strength there should be 161 people in his teamspeak chat. This is unlikely but we want to make the figure as high as possible. If the figure is too low, say drops under 100, the Lieutenant General needs to take a look at which Companies, Platoons and Squads are failing, and resolve the issue. The Batallion will then embark on a large assault on a certain clan, the Lieutenant General, Colonels and Captains need to work closely to coordinate attacks, whilst the Sergeants on the field concentrate on leading their squads to glory in combat.
SATURDAY Invasion Day. The Army fully mobilises with all Batallions, Companies, Platoons and Squads involved and completely massacres a group. This requires a HUGE amount of logistical effort, and should be a huge amount of fun.
SUNDAY Day off. Officers Review the invasion of the past day and find what can be improved/ eliminate any problems.
Ignore the flame, what do you guys think? I think this has the potential to be the first system of it's kind, push comradery to the full via small squad sizes and be hugely effective and fun. It's going to be hard work, but hard work pays off. |

| It's not the first system of it's kind, I had my own system also based off real-life military organization in FEAR about 3 years ago. |

scimmed through it and it looks decent, it would definitely be better for you to hold onto the group, being a stable owner the group wouldn't get destroyed. new leaders usually are fine, but you get the odd acceptance, e.g. bi-polar group holders who could decide to suddenly exile someone, or a leader who gives people excessive power to do the same.
as for the system sounds good, but try to keep the over-prepness of stuff in the future to a low, chances are people aren't going to go along with the training stuff on promotions, a number of factors come to play - who was acting dumb etc, a k/d alone is not a good thing to base stuff on.
good guide in general though i just wouldnt over prepare stuff, let it flow and if it gets messed up general of army sorts it out. a 'constitution' is always best uncodified, like in the UK, USA and the gun laws are an example of how a constitution fails.
anyway i am only really writing this because i am high, so i am probably talking crap and i feel like typing |
