| Obviously, everyone realizes that if they're stupid enough to launch one nuke, the entire world will go to hell and the safety of most countries is at stake. Nobody wants to start WW3 because it's more lucrative and prosperous as a trade partner. Besides, one day, we'll all have to band together against alien invaders or senile zombies. |

| It's just logic. Everyone thinks that russia is going to nuke us. Like, seriously? Why would they jeopardize the safety of their country by launching nukes. It's best to use nuclear weapons in space when trying to launch away asteroids. |

1 nuke can destroy most of europe and some of USA, about 3 or 4 nukes can make the Earth a lifeless and shrivelled rusk.

If World War 3 broke out, and everyone was going at it as hard as they can, then not much would remain at the end of it all.
Too much firepower. |

are you stupid or something
the tests are launched from a low position, the position that the nukes are to be launched are that it revolves near the edge of the atmosphere, so that it gets enough speed to create much more damage.

What?
The blast effect diminishes in the cube root of distance IIRC, if you detonate a nuke very high you only get massive EMP effect. |
