I really need help with the grip positioning. Mainly I want to know what each number changes and the best order to do the positioning in. GripForward 0, 0, 0, GripPos 0, 0, 0, GripRight 0, 0, 0, GripUp 0, 0, 0,
Thanks TheBanterBus |

Before I flood your head with my overly confusing explanations, I'll let you know that I'll gladly do the GripPositioning for any of your tools. Nao...
First off, the only numbers you should use in your GripPositions are 1, 0, and -1. You can use numbers inbetween for weird tilts and angles, but you shouldn't need to. Also, only one coordinate of every value should change, unless you want moar wierd angles. The GripPosition of your tool will change depending on which direction you made it facing, and where it is supposed to be gripped.
GripForward, GripRight, and GripUp all influence the tool's orientation, where GripPosition influences where your character grips the tool. (I.E. making the GripPosition 0, 5, 0 would make the tool go up in the player's hand.)
This all simply takes a lot of fussing until you finally get it right. Eventually you get a wierd sixth sense for getting the right GripPositions if you work a lot with tools, and it's just really hard to explain how they all influence the look.
Hope I was of some help, and like I said, I'll gladly GripPosition a tool for you. |
