@Pvt half life was a revolution because it didn't take away any control from the player as it showed its story, seamlessly blending the two aspects, gameplay and plot, together, at least for its time. |

"You're referring to the first time the series was called "Shin Megami Tensei"" "That's because you said Shin Megami Tensei and only that. You never said Megami Tensei, you only said Shin Megami Tensei."
And? It still is before half-life making my argument valid.
"No you weren't. You never said Megami Tensei, you only spoke of Shin Megami Tensei. Don't lie to us."

"It told you a story. You just had to figure it out. Not all games have to be hand-held."
I would like to be told the story IF IM TOLD THAT THE GAME IS STORY HEAVY. Jesus.
"It's there, you just have to notice and figure it out."
Okay, I'm sorry I didn't figure it out. But personally, I find Half-Life 1 terrible so I don't know when I will replay it.
"The funny thing is this: It did explain that part. It's called a resonance cascade, it was explained by the scientists."
